An application component is operably coupled to the processor and the data store and is configured to run one or more applications stored in the data store. A test framework is coupled to the processor and the data store and is configured to perform at least one test relative to a component of the computer system that interacts with a database. A savepoint manager is configured to responsively generate at least one savepoint in the database prior to the at least one test and to roll back the at least one savepoint after the at least one test. Methods of testing the computer system are also provided.
