Abstract: A heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system includes an air handling unit having an air handling unit outlet, and at least one zone having an inlet and an outlet. The at least one zone is operably coupled to the air handling unit outlet. A return air duct fluidly connecting the outlet to the air handling unit and at least one sterilization system arranged within the return air duct at or directly downstream from the outlet. At least one indoor air quality sensor operable to monitor an indoor air quality within the at least one zone. A controller is operably coupled to the at least one indoor air quality sensor and the at least one sterilization system. The controller is configured to operate the at least one sterilization system when the indoor air quality within the at least one zone exceeds an allowable threshold.

  • Publication number: 20220360056
Abstract: A system, for measurement of temperatures and detection of faults of parallel transformers in a DDC enclosure, that includes a first transformer and a second transformer arranged in a parallel configuration that deliver power to components of a building management system (BMS). The system also includes a direct digital control (DDC) circuit that controls power delivered through the first and the second transformers to the components of the building management system (BMS). The system further includes a first temperature sensor, operationally connected to the DDC circuit, which measures the temperature of the first transformer. Furthermore, the system includes a second temperature sensor, operationally connected to the DDC circuit, which measures the temperature of the second transformer. The DDC circuit determines a difference between the first temperature and the second temperature to predict a fault in the first transformer or the second transformer.

  • Patent number: 7969898
Abstract: A technique for breaking a loop caused by looping alternate paths associated with a prefix in a communications network. One or more non-looping alternate paths associated with the prefix that exclude a first node in the communications network are identified. One or more alternate paths from nodes in the loop that are associated with the prefix are identified. An identified path that intersects with an identified non-looping path is established as an alternate path associated with the prefix at a node in the loop.

  • Publication number: 20070253416
Abstract: A computer apparatus comprising a processor and a forwarding engine arranged to forward LDP multicast traffic along a multicast tree having a primary and a backup path in a converged network topology, the processor being configured to cause the forwarding engine to forward traffic via the backup path upon a topology change and send a changed topology label and path vector to at least one neighbor node in the changed topology.

  • Publication number: 20070217420
Abstract: A method of distributing labels in a label distribution protocol multicast network having a root node and at least one leaf node comprises the steps, performed at a receiving node, of receiving a label and path vector from a distributing node, carrying out loop or convergence detection from the received path vector and, if convergence or no loop is detected, sending a receiving node label and path vector to its nexthop node in the network.

  • Publication number: 20070174483
Abstract: A router in a label-switching network sets up one or more backup paths to forward multicast data traffic in the event of a failure. Network failures include link failures and node failures. If a link failure occurs, a given router in a respective label-switching network can forward multicast data traffic on a first backup path to a next hop downstream router that it normally sends the multicast data traffic. If the next hop downstream router fails, the given router can circumvent sending the multicast data traffic to the next hop downstream router and instead send the multicast data traffic on respective backup paths to the set of routers (e.g., next next hop downstream routers) that the next hop downstream router (e.g., the failing router) normally would forward the multicast data traffic in the absence of the network failure.

  • Publication number: 20070036072
Abstract: A method and apparatus method for providing fast rerouting in a network is presented. The method and apparatus assign a first local label for a prefix, and assign a second local label for the prefix. The first local label is advertised to an upstream peer and the second local label is advertised to a downstream peer. A forwarding entry from the first local label for a prefix is switched to the second local label for the prefix when a failure of a link or next hop is detected.

  • Patent number: 6373822
Abstract: A modular data network protocol conformance test system is designed to make distinct the key functionality that is required in protocol conformance testing such that the system can be reused across different platform testing, protocol testing, and network topology. As a result, in its current design, it can be used to test devices as distinct as cable modems, routers, and tag-switching routers. Consequently, the system has a packet generation module that generates send packets for transmission to the UUT (unit under test) and that analyzes the receive packets from the UUT. A separate network handling module transfers the send packets to and acquires the receive packets from the UUT.
