Publication number: 20180285010Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to a method and system for efficiently sharing limited memory among multiple processors. Each processor has a local linked list. The local linked list identifies the pages allocated to the specific processor as well as the number of free codewords for each allocated page. Additionally, the local linked list includes the location of the next free codeword(s) for each allocated page. When all codewords are available, the page is considered free and may be sent back to the page pool used by all of the processors. If there are a sufficient number of contiguous free codewords on an allocated page, then new codeword data may be stored in the page. If there is not a sufficient number of contiguous free codewords on any allocated page, then a new page is allocated from the page pool. Thus, efficient allocate of memory resources is achieved.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 30, 2017Publication date: October 4, 2018Inventors: David George DREYER, Kevin James WENDZEL, Alex Robert GRONSETH

Publication number: 20180086283Abstract: A motor vehicle includes a horizontally oriented bed. A tailgate is pivotably attached to the bed. The tailgate is pivotable between an upright position and a horizontal position. A camera is pivotably attached to the tailgate. The camera has a field of view. An orientation sensor detects an orientation of the tailgate and/or the camera. An actuator pivots the camera relative to the tailgate. An electronic processor is communicatively coupled to the orientation sensor and to the actuator. The electronic processor receives a sensor signal from the orientation sensor. The electronic processor causes the actuator to pivot the camera dependent upon the sensor signal such that a field of view of the camera remains in a horizontal orientation throughout pivoting of the tailgate.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 20, 2017Publication date: March 29, 2018Inventor: ALEX ROBERT GREEN

Patent number: 8851940Abstract: A system and method is provided for securing a spring body against a socket body, thereby reducing movement of the spring body during periods of vibration. Preferred embodiments of the present invention operate in accordance with a socket body that includes at least a proximal end, a spring body that includes at least a distal end, and a sleeve. In one embodiment of the present invention, the distal end of the spring body is configured to be placed over the proximal end of the socket body, and the sleeve is configured to be placed over the distal end of the spring body. The sleeve preferably includes an inner circumference that is sized to creating a frictional engagement between an inner surface of the sleeve and an outer surface of the spring body, and between an inner surface of the spring body and an outer surface of the socket body.Type: GrantFiled: July 13, 2012Date of Patent: October 7, 2014Assignee: Deutsch Engineered Connecting Devices, Inc.Inventors: James P. Patent number: 8790129Abstract: A system and method is provided for assembling and/or customizing a connector. Preferred embodiments of the present invention operate in accordance with a connector that includes a plurality of removable contacts, and a connector body that can be customized to mate with a corresponding, and similarly configured connector. In one embodiment of the present invention, a contact is connected to a wire and inserted into an aperture in a retainer. The retainer is then inserted into a connector body, thereby resulting in an increase in friction between the retainer and the contact, and a backshell is attached to the connector body. At least one key is placed in at least one keyway on the connector body, resulting in a user-programmable connector. The connector is then mated with a corresponding connector that is similarly configured. The connectors are then secured using either a latch or lanyard mechanism.Type: GrantFiled: January 14, 2013Date of Patent: July 29, 2014Assignee: Deutsch Engineered Connecting Devices, Inc.Inventors: Alex Robert Rengifo, Troy Tom

Patent number: 8094042Abstract: A steering angle warning system comprising a rotation-measuring unit located on an aircraft, and an alarm unit. The rotation-measuring unit is arranged to output a first signal dependent on the steering angle between a nose landing gear of the aircraft and the longitudinal axis of the aircraft fuselage. The alarm unit is arranged to generate an alarm, in dependence on the first signal, when the steering angle is greater than a predetermined value, for example, 60 degrees. The rotation-measuring unit may also be arranged to perform a function in relation to an aircraft steering system, for example to indicate the steering angle to the pilot during ground manoeuvres.Type: GrantFiled: February 23, 2007Date of Patent: January 10, 2012Assignee: Airbus Operations LimitedInventors: Terry George Read, Andreas Yiasoumi, David George Stinchcombe, Andrew David Sadler, Alex Robert Piddock
