Abstract: A gas barbecue grill including a firebox assembly containing a gas burner element, a cooking grate supported thereabove, a top casting rotatably affixed thereto, the firebox assembly defining a receiving slot in a sidewall thereof, and a tray carrier assembly configured to be slidably received within the receiving slot of the firebox assembly, the tray carrier assembly being configured to support a charcoal tray. The gas barbecue grill further includes a grate frame configured to support the cooking grate, and a grate lift assembly configured to raise and lower the grate frame relative to the firebox assembly.

Abstract: A preferred embodiment incorporates a grill casting support assembly which includes a tank support strut mounted thereto. The tank support strut is configured to mount an LP gas tank thereon and preferably is configured with a first end and a second end and first and second support surfaces spaced therebetween. Each of the first and second support surfaces are adapted to engage a portion of the LP gas tank, with the tank support strut being engagable with the LP gas tank in a receiving position and a mounted position. In the receiving position, the LP gas tank can be arranged in a substantially horizontal orientation so that it contacts the first and second support surfaces, and, in the mounted position, the LP gas tank is arranged in a substantially upright orientation so that it contacts the first and second support surfaces. Preferably, a grill casting is mounted to the grill casting support assembly.

Abstract: A barbecue grill comprising a grill cart assembly, an LP gas tank having a base and being removably mounted to the grill cart assembly, a grill assembly mounted to the grill cart assembly, and a tank strut comprising a strain-measuring device, which tank strut can be stationary or rotatable. The strain measuring device indicates the weight of the tank and the LP gas therein to give an indication of the amount of LP gas in the tank.

Abstract: A preferred embodiment of the gas grill with tilting tank support incorporates a tank support strut rotatably mounted to a support structure of the grill. Preferably, the tank support strut has a first longitudinal axis and is capable of rotation thereabout between a receiving position and a mounted position. In the mounted position, the tank support strut is adapted to engage the base of an LP gas tank so that the LP gas tank is arranged in a substantially upright orientation.
