  • Publication number: 20170366334
Abstract: Systems and methods for processing data including a first and second component are described. An example circuit includes a processing stage arranged to calculate absolute values of the first component and the second component, and to output, at a first output, a maximum value of the absolute value of the first component and the absolute value of the second component, and, at a second output, a minimum value of the absolute value of the first component and the absolute value of the second component. The circuit includes a processing stage arranged to output, in response to the maximum value being greater than the minimum value times four, a value corresponding to the maximum value, and to output, in response to the maximum value being smaller than the minimum value times four, a value corresponding to a sum of seven times the maximum value and four times the minimum value.

  • Publication number: 20170098042
Abstract: Data related to the adherence of a patient to a therapy regime can be collected from multiple medical devices, each of which may have an incomplete data set with data entries associated with times. Each incomplete data set represents a portion of a complete data set. The data sets can be integrated to create a complete data set with data entries from each incomplete data set being arranged in a temporal sequence with respect to one another. A report may be generated, the report having the data entries of the complete data set or a function of the data entries of the complete data set.

  • Publication number: 20120266880
Abstract: A device for use as part of a breathing assistance system for providing gases to a user. The device may include a fan, an enclosure for receiving a humidification chamber or both. A user interface of the device can indicate the operating mode of the device, whether a peripheral device is connected and whether a gases conduit is correctly connected to the outlet of the device. A controller in the device may hide or block options from the display of the user interface and may also initiate a power save mode when the device is powered by a battery.

  • Patent number: 7681571
Abstract: Apparatus for delivery of humidified gases therapy includes a humidifier. A recorder records. An output interface allows for outputting of the recorded data. The recorder may also record data indicative of patient compliance with the humidified gases therapy. The apparatus may determine patient compliance from sensed delivered flow. Recorded humidity and compliance data retrieved from the apparatus are useful in methods for improving the efficacy of humidified gases therapy or diagnosing problems with the efficacy of humidified gases therapy.

  • Patent number: 6837424
Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus for processing of checks and includes a closed casing (1) having an opening defining a feed path (5) for the insertion of a check, and an optical scanner (3) for receiving a check fed into the casing (1) and recording data representing information on the face of the check. The apparatus includes a cancellation device (4) to cancel the check concurrently with the scanning and a communications device (2,9) for transmitting recorded data to a remote location. The invention is intended for distribution to end users, the drawees of checks, or as a component part of an automatic teller machine, such that a bank can trust that a digital check received from the apparatus via a communications network is as secure against being fraudulently deposited as if the check had been physically delivered in the conventional manner.
