  • Publication number: 20190250420
Abstract: There is provided a display apparatus. The display apparatus includes an electronic display. The display apparatus includes first and second parabolic reflectors coupled together and facing each other. Each reflector has a vertex. The first parabolic reflector has an opening extending therethrough adjacent to the vertex thereof. The second parabolic reflector receives the electronic display adjacent to the vertex thereof.

  • Patent number: 9581517
Abstract: A real time tire pressure gauge has a first connector for connecting to a compressed air source, a second connector for connecting to a tire valve, an internal passage between the first and second connectors, a pressure sensor configured to measure a pressure in the internal passage and generate a pressure signal indicating air pressure, a controller connected to the pressure sensor to receive the pressure signal, and a display connected to the controller. The controller is configured to store a static pressure in memory based on an initial pressure sensor and display the static pressure, detect a sudden change in pressure and store a changed pressure in memory in response to detecting the sudden change, periodically sample the pressure signal and store a periodic pressure in memory, calculate an estimated tire pressure based on the static pressure, the changed pressure the periodic pressure, and display the estimated tire pressure.

  • Patent number: 7756827
Abstract: A method, computer program and computer system for collecting data from one or more data sources, into which data is continuously stored, and for loading the collected data into one or more data targets is disclosed. One or more events are defined and one or more rules are associated with each event. When one of the one or more events occurs, unmarked data is collected from the one or more data sources in accordance with the rules associated with the one event, the collected, unmarked data in the one or more data sources is marked, and the collected data is stored in one or more of the data targets.

  • Patent number: 7249140
Abstract: A method, computer program, and computer system for updating a database system using a parallel application are disclosed. The parallel application includes a plurality of parallel operators. The method includes receiving records. A unique identifier is assigned to each record. A user defined rule condition is evaluated for each record. An action identifier is assigned to a subset of the records, based on the evaluation of the user defined rule condition. The records are transmitted to the database system with the unique identifiers and, for each of the subset of records, action identifiers.

  • Patent number: 6838983
Abstract: The invention provides a device for measuring the pressure of a tire. The device comprises a microcontroller configured to calculate a target pressure, a pressure sensor coupled to the microcontroller for measuring an internal pressure of the tire, a first temperature sensor coupled to the microcontroller for measuring an internal temperature of the tire, a user input coupled to the microcontroller for inputting a recommended pressure for the tire, a second temperature sensor coupled to the microcontroller for measuring an ambient temperature, and, a display coupled to the microcontroller for indicating the internal pressure of the tire and the target pressure. The microcontroller converts the recommended pressure into the target pressure based on a ratio of the internal temperature in Kelvin to the ambient temperature in Kelvin, such that a user is able to inflate and deflate the tire until the display indicates that the internal pressure is equal to the target pressure.

  • Patent number: 5809238
Abstract: A data server data base system applies a request for data to a data engine which launches a probe via network transport that causes the data to be collected on a remote platform and returned via network transport. The returned data is then applied to the requesting user application in the form of one or more rows of columnar data emulating the return of data from a conventional data base system including data tables. This operation may further be enhanced by the inclusion of Event processing in which the occurrence of an event based on a predicate test is determined by the data server without requiring attention of the user application. In particular, the user application stores a rule statement in the data server and then references that statement by name in a data inquiry. An event level data probe is invoked to collect the data referenced in the rule statement and the collected data is tested in accordance with the rule statement to determine if the event has occurred.

An event level data probe is invoked to collect the data referenced in the rule statement and the collected data is tested in accordance with the rule statement to determine if the event has occurred. Data passing the rule statement test is returned to the user application if the event is determined to have occurred unless Delta processing is invoked in which case only data representing a transition from Event true to Event false or Event false to Event true is returned.
