  • Patent number: 12164093
Abstract: A Cassegrain or quasi-Cassegrain structure objective lens is used in a polar MOKE metrology system. The quasi-Cassegrain reflective objective lens includes a primary concave mirror and a secondary mirror. The primary concave mirror has a wider diameter than the secondary mirror and defines an aperture through which the laser beam is configured to be transmitted toward the secondary mirror. The secondary mirror can be convex, concave, or have a flat surface.

  • Patent number: 10498615
Abstract: A wireless device and method detect a current signal strength of each of a number of wireless networks, determine an expected end-to-end data speed for each of the wireless networks using wireless network end-to-end data speed information that was historically compiled from prior connections with the wireless networks and using the detected current signal strength of each of the wireless networks. The wireless device and method connects to at least one wireless network based on the determined expected end-to-end data speed and/or provides a user interface that includes the determined expected end-to-end data speed and the detected signal strength indication of each of the wireless networks.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20180064404
Abstract: In some embodiments, a method and system may detect snoring sounds of a sleeping patient through a microphone on the electronic device; analyze the snoring sounds to calculate a snore frequency and a snore volume of the sleeping patient, in response to the snore frequency exceeding a threshold frequency or the snore volume exceeding a threshold volume, sense an orientation of the electronic device, wherein the orientation is one of at least four different orientations; store the orientation as a snore-orientation; and by the one or more vibration units on the electronic device, vibrate if: (1) a current orientation of the electronic device matches the snore-orientation, and (2) the snore frequency exceeds the threshold frequency, or the snore volume exceeds the threshold volume.
