  • Patent number: 11499748
Abstract: A water heater can include a heat source and a heat exchanger that transfers heat to the water. A header attached to the heat exchanger provides an inlet and an outlet for water to flow into and out of the heat exchanger. The header can also include an anode assembly that releasably attaches to the header. The anode assembly can be located at a bottom of the header so that an anode in the anode assembly remains in contact with the water when water is flowing through the heat exchanger.

  • Publication number: 20220074831
Abstract: Methods and apparatus provide filtration for concentrating analytes, such as bacteria or exosomes, of a biological sample, such as blood or urine. The technology may employ membrane devices that implement one or more tangential flow filtration processes such as in stages. An example membrane device may typically include a membrane having sides and ends. The membrane may selectively permit constituent(s) of the sample to pass through while retaining other constituents at one side. An input chamber of the device may include an inlet near one end and an outlet near the other end, and that may permit a tangential flow of the sample along the first side surface, and a trans-membrane passing of constituent(s). An output chamber of the device may be configured at the second side surface to receive the passing constituents. Such devices may be provided in a kit to facilitate targeting of a desired biological analyte concentration.

  • Publication number: 20220004626
Abstract: A method, with the aid of which an installation-wide security consideration may be carried out, that is not limited only to automation components of a single manufacturer, but that functions across all manufacturers, is provided. Through suitable user guidance and automated support in process-conforming execution of assessments, incident handling and the definition of security measures as well as corresponding tracking, the method has a high level of user-friendliness. A rule generator uses security criteria in order to develop user-specific analysis rules from a complex rulebook with a number of input values. All the installation-relevant data is automatically compiled in an inventory. The machine security auditor applies the user-specific rulebook to the collected installation data from the asset inventory, and from that, prepares the audit trail.

  • Patent number: 10522317
Abstract: An X-ray tube includes an anode that conducts a high voltage that can be greater than 120 kV, and in particular greater than 300 kV, and heats up during operation. The anode is connected in a thermally conductive way to a heat sink, which has a base body composed of a metal with a heat absorbing surface for coupling to the anode as a heat source and a heat dissipating surface that is enlarged by means of heat dissipating elements that are connected to the base body. The heat dissipating elements are composed of an electrically insulating material having a thermal conductivity on the same order of magnitude as that of the metal of the base body, and have a height (H) starting from the base body of the heat sink so that there is a sufficient insulation breakdown resistance relative to the surroundings of the X-ray tube.
