  • Publication number: 20180260216
Abstract: An automatic documentation generation and management system and method, for documenting configurable systems such as complex software applications and hardware systems is disclosed. The method retrieves configuration parameters from the configurable system and utilizes them to automatically generate an explanatory document specific to the configured system. The invention also discloses a documentation appliance system, which is a dedicated documentation server coupled to the configurable system via a communication network, preferably via an Intranet. In yet another alternative, the invention may be practiced by integrating code for automatic documentation generation within the configurable system program.

  • Patent number: 8738972
Abstract: A method of root cause analysis in a virtual machine environment includes receiving a plurality of events from a system monitoring the virtualized environment. The events may include alarms or alerts, such as alarms or alerts associated with a resource reaching or exceeding a threshold. The capacity manager consumes these events and performs event correlation to produce a set of correlated events. The capacity manager performs a root cause analysis on the set of correlated events to identify one or more root causes. The capacity manager further performs an impact analysis to determine how the root cause impacts the system, such as other virtual machines, hosts or resource in the virtual environment. Based on the root cause and impact analysis, the capacity manager makes one or more recommendations to address issues with or to improve the operations and/or performance of the virtualized environment.

  • Publication number: 20080065491
Abstract: A method and system for automatically monitoring the performance level of various aspects of pay-per-click (PPC) and pay-per-action (PPA) advertising campaigns, and automatically revising the aspects to optimize performance levels, is provided. The advertiser is automatically notified if one or more particular aspects are resulting in less than desired click-through traffic. Further, the suspect aspects of the campaign are modified to ensure desired “click-through” regarding the advertisements and, thus, maximization of the advertiser's return on investment (ROI) with respect to the advertising campaign is achieved.
