  • Publication number: 20260222433
Abstract: Underperforming network segments and other network anomalies are detected using recursive anomaly detection based on separation of communication sessions into homogenous groups according to different dimensions. After collecting KPIs from various network segments and subscriber sessions, attributes corresponding to different dimensions of interest are assigned to the KPIs. During the recursive anomaly detection, the assigned attributes are used to separate the metrics into homogenous groups based on one or more dimensions of interests. Anomaly detection, also referred to as outlier detection, is performed to determine whether a specific homogenous group identified contains anomalous KPIs. These anomalous KPIs may indicate underperforming network segments or elements, interworking issues, or other network anomalies.

  • Patent number: 12665805
Abstract: A technique of setting one or more decision thresholds of a network analytics system is presented. The analytics system is configured to analyze statistics pertaining to a service quality-related (SQR) parameter acquired for a communication network and statistics pertaining to a root cause-related (RCR) parameter acquired for the communication network, wherein the SQR parameter correlates with the RCR parameter. A first parameter is defined to be one of the SQR parameter and the RCR parameter and a second parameter is defined to be the other of the SQR parameter and the RCR parameter. A method realization of the technique presented herein comprises obtaining first statistics for the first parameter in situations in which the second parameter assumes critical second parameter values, obtaining second statistics for the first parameter in situations in which the second parameter assumes non-critical second parameter values, and setting a first decision threshold of the analytics system.

  • Publication number: 20250175852
Abstract: A technique of triggering one or more congestion mitigation actions in a communication network is presented. The communication network comprises a core network domain and a cellular RAN domain having an O-RAN architecture. A method implementation comprises evaluating a temporal behavior of at least one congestion indicator for individual cells in the RAN domain to identify one or more candidate cells that are prone to suffering from congestion. The method also comprises correlating, for at least one of the one or more candidate cells, session-related information from the core network domain with RAN information from the RAN domain to derive at least one quality indicator for the at least one candidate cell. Further, the method comprises triggering, dependent on the at least one quality indicator derived for the at least candidate cell, one or more congestion mitigation actions.

  • Publication number: 20250097731
Abstract: An analytics system performs a high-altitude overshoot detection procedure and a terrestrial overshoot detection procedure. The analytics system detects a plurality of overshooting events occurring within a communication network. Each overshooting event is detected by either the high-altitude overshoot detection procedure or the terrestrial overshoot detection procedure. Responsive to a base station within the communication network being associated with more than a threshold number of the overshooting events, the analytics system configures the base station to use a previous antenna tilt that produced overshooting events at a lower rate relative to a current antenna tilt of the base station.

  • Publication number: 20240195714
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for a network analytics tool capable of analyzing a time-varying set of parameter values for each of a plurality of measurable parameters and visually outputting a plurality of visualization objects. Each of the visualization objects comprise one or more visualization items, each visualization item representative of one of the plurality of measurable parameters. The method comprises: obtaining, for each of the plurality of visualization objects, a value of a first object-related metric and causing generation of a sensory-perceptible output indicative of a visualization object ranking established on the basis of the obtained value of the first object-related metric of each of the plurality of visualization objects.
