  • Patent number: 7974783
Abstract: In order to determine an easily perceived display image for a driver assistance system, in particular a distance-measuring system or a parking assistant, a method makes use of the determination of Bezier curves on the basis of measured distance values on various measuring lines. Wherein different variants for the selection of the reference points and the curve edge points are available for the modeling and parameterization of the Bezier curves taking into account the respective current situation. It is also possible for object positions not to be taken into account under certain conditions in order to obtain smooth illustrative curves.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 14, 2008
Date of Patent: July 5, 2011
Assignee: Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG
Inventors: Timo Seehaus, Joerg Armand, Christian Schmelzer, Alexander Boehlendorf

  • Patent number: 7445392
Abstract: For observing lateral areas of a motor vehicle, a camera is inserted into an existing cavity of a mirror base. The camera is clampingly held between a holding cage and a covering cap. An opening for a camera lens is provided in the covering cap. Through the camera lens opening, the lateral vehicle areas can be observed and displayed in an indicating device of an inside rearview mirror.

  • Patent number: 5934987
Abstract: A device and method for controlling air conduction in a vehicle includes an air conduction element. The air conduction element is controlled as a function of the moisture in the vehicle interior, intermediate positions of the air conduction element being possible between a maximum proportion of circulating air and a maximum proportion of fresh air. In this way, the proportion of fresh air is increased only gradually when there is a high pollution impact if the interior moisture does not exceed a maximum moisture value .PHI..sub.max. Control of the moisture in the vehicle interior increases the comfort of the vehicle occupants. A circulating-air dryer makes it possible, in principle, to continue in circulating-air operation for an unlimited period.
