  • Patent number: 11953938
Abstract: The present technology proposes techniques for generating globally coherent timestamps. This technology may allow distributed systems to causally order transactions without incurring various types of communication delays inherent in explicit synchronization. By globally deploying a number of time masters that are based on various types of time references, the time masters may serve as primary time references. Through an interactive interface, the techniques may track, calculate and record data relative to each time master thus providing the distributed systems with causal timestamps.

  • Publication number: 20240096643
Abstract: A semiconductor device includes a substrate, a first well, a second well, a metal gate, a poly gate, a source region, and a drain region. The first well and the second well are within the substrate. The metal gate is partially over the first well. The poly gate is over the second well. The poly gate is separated from the metal gate, and a width ratio of the poly gate to the metal gate is in a range from about 0.1 to about 0.2. The source region and the drain region are respectively within the first well and the second well.

  • Publication number: 20240072164
Abstract: A semiconductor device includes: a vertical transport field-effect transistor (VTFET) device including a bottom source/drain (S/D) epitaxial layer, a vertical fin channel formed on the bottom S/D epitaxial layer, and a top S/D epitaxial layer formed on the vertical fin channel. The bottom S/D epitaxial layer has an asymmetric profile in cross-section where a first side of the vertical fin channel is aligned with a first side of the bottom S/D epitaxial layer, and the bottom S/D epitaxial layer has a stepped profile that extends beyond a second edge of the vertical fin channel.

  • Patent number: 11870764
Abstract: A system includes at least one processor and at least one memory including instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to perform operations. The operations include providing a secure link to an auditable, machine-readable dataset to a client device of a user, the auditable, machine-readable dataset comprising data. At least one policy constraint is provided to at least a portion of the data in the dataset. In response to detecting activation of the secure link at the client device, one or both of the user and the client device is authenticated based on the policy constraint. Streaming access is provided to the auditable, machine-readable dataset in real-time.

  • Publication number: 20150155736
Abstract: A method and an apparatus are disclosed for extending the service life of a battery source by fully utilizing the energy in batteries and/or providing higher energy reserve using multiple batteries. The invention has economical and environmental benefits by reducing waste in batteries in addition to offering convenience and ease of maintenance in battery use. It also benefits the design of devices when replacing batteries is either difficult or impossible. A universal battery bank consists of an ensemble of possibly heterogeneous batteries all connected in series to provide a usable operational energy source. To exploit this power supply that may vary over a wide voltage range, electronics are designed to monitor the individual batteries, guard against excessive voltage and current, and provide constant current sources and/or constant voltage sources for various appliances.

  • Publication number: 20060268791
Abstract: A system for self-organizing and auto-configuring mesh networks is disclosed. Special nodes (deemed special for their topological significance) are used as a starting point for forming clusters of fully connected nodes. Here, all nodes can communicate directly with one another and links are scheduled to meet the traffic requirements as indicated by their individual configuration and topological positions. Links that do not interfere with each other are scheduled to operate concurrently, thereby increasing the bandwidth offered by the whole system. When there is change to the system, such as leaving or introduction of a node, the system will adjust with minimum impact on its operation. Once all of the clusters are formed in a system, the clusters are now capable of inter-cluster communications with an increase in bandwidth for such communications.
