  • Publication number: 20220414507
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide for efficient global qubit placement within a quantum computing environment for a quantum program. Some embodiments utilize a graph-based approach to represent positions in a quantum computing environment, and optimize the graph layout using a graph processing algorithm to rearrange layers of a graph and reduce edge crossings. A layered graph associated with minimum cost is selected and utilized as an efficient layered graph for purposes of global qubit placement at various time steps of execution. Embodiments provide satisfactory approximations that avoid the NP-hard nature of this task to significantly reduce compilation time to a solution for global qubit placement as opposed to optimal global qubit placement while additionally identifying solutions that significantly reduce overall execution time and computing resource usage.

  • Publication number: 20220398483
Abstract: A quantum system controller configured to perform conditional transport with just-in-time waveform selection is provided. The quantum system controller comprises a processing device configured to generate a set of processed waveform files configured to cause a quantum processor of the quantum computer to perform a quantum circuit; cause the processed waveform files to be preloaded to one or more arbitrary waveform generators; and causing at least one signal to be provided to the one or more arbitrary waveform generators to execute at least one of the preloaded processed waveform files, wherein the signals provided to arbitrary waveform generators to execute at least one of the preloaded waveform files is in response to the quantum system controller evaluating a conditional operation. The signals provided to the arbitrary waveform generators allow for the just-in-time selection a waveform selection not on an expected path of the quantum circuit.

  • Patent number: 11057213
Abstract: An authentication system having a communications bus, a transmitter connected to the bus, and a receiver connected to the bus. A physical layer signal may be applied by the transmitter to a message on the bus for authenticating the transmitter. The physical layer signal may incorporate an identifier (ID) of the transmitter. The receiver may receive the message and decode the physical layer signal on the message. Decoding the physical layer signal on the message may reveal the ID of the transmitter sending the message. The receiver may look up the ID on a list of IDs corresponding to transmitters approved to send the message, to determine whether the ID of the transmitter sending the message matches an ID on the list. Only if the ID of the transmitter matches an ID on the list, then the transmitter may be authenticated and authorized to send the message.

  • Patent number: 10284525
Abstract: A device for secure transmission of vehicle data over vehicle datalinks that may be shared with passenger devices and are connected to a publicly shared network is provided. The device comprises a processor embedded within a portion of an Ethernet cable for a vehicle. A plurality of applications resides in the processor and comprises a VPN application, and a VPN address and certificate update application. A first Ethernet transceiver communicates with the processor through the VPN application and also communicates with onboard electronic equipment. A second Ethernet transceiver communicates with the processor through the VPN application and also communicates with an external datalink. The VPN application automatically establishes a VPN when the datalink is available, provides an authentication certificate to verify that the device is a correct and legitimate node, and verifies a VPN hosting certification to determine whether the device is communicating with a correct and legitimate external facility.
