  • Patent number: 10188807
Abstract: Syringe/conduit combination with a syringe part (1) and a conduit part (2). The parts have a male slip fitting (4) and a female slip fitting (5) for press fitted connection. The syringe part (1) has a hollow barrel (22) and a plunger (23) inserted into the barrel (22). The plunger (23) and the hollow barrel (22) have abutments (25, 27) defining a maximally inserted position of the plunger (23). The male slip fitting (4) fits in the female slip fitting (5) such that the male slip fitting (4) is at an axial distance of less than 0.1 mm from an internal end of the female slip fitting (5). The plunger (23) in its maximally inserted position is then at an axial distance from an opposite one of the slip fittings (5) that is equal to or less than the axial distance between the male slip fitting (4) and the internal end (9) of the female slip fitting (5).

  • Patent number: 5976172
Abstract: An intravascular catheter filter system which includes more particularly, the intravascular catheter filter system includes an outer cylindrical tubing having an inner lumen, an intermediate cylindrical tubing slidably received by the outer cylindrical tubing and an inner cylindrical member slidably received by the intermediate cylindrical tubing. The system also includes an expandable filter element comprised of a plurality of arcuate, elongate, flexible strips having proximal ends attached to the distal end of the outer cylindrical tubing and being positioned adjacent to each other so as to be of a generally cylindrical configuration. The flexible strips are normally biased outwardly from the center of the cylindrical configuration such that the strips form a generally bulbus configuration. A cylindrical filter retaining member is disposed on the distal end of the intermediate cylindrical tubing.

  • Patent number: 5713849
Abstract: A suction catheter has a tubular body with a distal end, a proximal end, and an inlet lumen and a discharge lumen formed in the catheter body. At the distal end of the catheter, the inlet lumen is connected with a nozzle, and the discharge lumen opens into a suction inlet. At the proximal end of the catheter, the lumens are connected to a proximal hub having an inlet port and a discharge port. The inlet lumen may be formed in a separate tube received inside the catheter body, and the suction catheter may include a guidewire lumen adapted to receive a guidewire.

  • Patent number: 5713851
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a catheter which comprises a pair of separate lumens defining a higher pressure lumen and a lower pressure lumen, plus a side opening positioned adjacent the distal end of the catheter and communicating with the lower pressure lumen. A relatively thin tube defines the higher pressure lumen. One incorporates the relatively thin tube into a lumen of a relatively thick tube, followed by forming of the distal end of the high pressure lumen to curve rearwardly to form a proximally extending section having a proximal end. One then forms the side opening at a position adjacent the proximal end of the proximally extending section. The relatively thin tube may carry fibrous reinforcement to facilitate its use in defining the higher pressure lumen.
