  • Publication number: 20240148998
Abstract: A patient interface system to treat a respiratory disorder of a patient, the patient interface system comprising: a positioning and stabilising structure including a back portion and a pair of upper straps extending from the back portion; and a patient interface including a patient interface frame and a pair of rigidiser arms each connected to the patient interface frame at a connection point located in a plane substantially parallel to the patient's Frankfort horizontal plane, the pair of rigidiser arms further including a pair of upper attachment points, wherein the pair of upper straps are adapted to be releasably attached to the pair of upper attachment points such that, when donned by the patient, the pair of upper straps are vertically offset relative to the upper attachment points and substantially parallel to the patient's Frankfort horizontal plane, and wherein the patient interface does not include a forehead support.

  • Patent number: 11726051
Abstract: A processing apparatus is configured to receive a sense signal from a capacitive fluid sensor having a first electrode and a second electrode with a sensing region between the electrodes. The processing apparatus is configured to receive an alternating drive signal applied to the capacitive fluid sensor. The processing apparatus is configured to determine a complex impedance of the fluid sensor based on the sense signal and the drive signal. The complex impedance includes an in-phase component indicative of a conductivity quantity of a fluid in the sensing region and a quadrature component indicative of a capacitance quantity of the fluid sensor. The processing apparatus is configured to determine a temperature of the fluid in dependence on at least the determined capacitance quantity of the fluid sensor.

  • Patent number: 11579108
Abstract: Apparatus for measuring at least one property of a fluid comprises a capacitive fluid sensor (110) comprising a first electrode (111) and a second electrode (112) with a sensing region (113) between the electrodes. The apparatus comprises an alternating signal source (120) configured to apply an alternating drive signal to the capacitive fluid sensor (110). The apparatus comprises a processing apparatus (200) configured to receive a sense signal from the capacitive fluid sensor (110) and the alternating drive signal. The processing apparatus (200) is configured to: determine a complex difference signal comprising an in-phase difference component between the drive signal and the sense signal and a quadrature difference component between the drive signal and the sense signal; determine the at least one property of the fluid based on both the in-phase phase difference component and the quadrature difference component of the difference signal.

  • Patent number: 9677923
Abstract: A liquid intake tracking device for removable insertion into a beverage container in order to track an amount of liquid consumed, the rate of liquid consumption over time, and to provide alerts to the user. The device connects wirelessly to an application executing on an external electronic device which provides user with liquid consumption data and reports concerning the user's interaction with the beverage container. Methods for tracking liquid intake include disposing such a device within the container, calibrating the device relative to the container by processing pressure readings while the container is in an empty and full state, detecting changes in pressure within the container after the calibration step, in which the pressure is a function of a proportion of amount of liquid within the container at the time of detection, and wirelessly transmitting the measured pressure information to the external electronic device using a wireless communication module.
