  • Publication number: 20230398870
Abstract: Examples are disclosed for systems and methods for user interfaces of a vehicular environment, especially for autonomous vehicles wherein an orientation or attention of the vehicle occupants is not constrained to a direction of motion. In one embodiment, a system for providing visualizations within a vehicular environment comprises at least one touch-sensitive display device positioned adjacent to at least one seat within the vehicular environment and configured to display the visualizations to an occupant of the at least one seat, the at least one touch-sensitive display device moveable from a first position in front of the seat to a second position at an interior wall of the vehicular environment.
    Type: Application
    Filed: August 29, 2023
    Publication date: December 14, 2023
Inventors: Jason B. Johnson, Timothy Raymond VanGoethem, Alexander Efimov
  • Patent number: 11805356
Abstract: A system and method setting an appearance of an earbud having a display attached to an outward facing surface of a support structure. The display has a curved edge having a perimeter that matches a perimeter of the support structure, the curved edge of the display screen conceals the support structure making only the display visible.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 17, 2022
Date of Patent: October 31, 2023
    Assignee: Harman International Industries, Incorporated
Inventors: Damian Mackiewicz, Alexander Efimov, Amin Einakian

  • Publication number: 20080149160
Abstract: A photovoltaic device and a method for production thereof. The photovoltaic device comprises an anode (32), a cathode (46) spaced apart from the anode, and at least one subcell disposed between the anode and the cathode. The subcell comprises a charge-transfer dyad (38) with a light absorbing electron donor moiety (40) and an electron acceptor moiety (42), which are covalently linked to each other in a non-flexible configuration and oriented such that each subcell is capable of performing primary photo-induced vectorial electron transfer between the donor and acceptor moieties in the direction from the anode to cathode. The structure of the donor-acceptor molecule is highly symmetric, which greatly increases the intramolecular electron transfer probability and, thereby, the efficiency of the device.
