    Abstract: An adjustment device for a track conditioning unit has a measuring unit for determining a lateral offset of a rail, travelled on by a rail vehicle, relative to an effective range of a track conditioning unit or a measuring unit for determining the relative position of a bogie with respect to the rail car body. The adjustment device contains a determining unit for determining an actuation command for an actuation unit in accordance with the determined lateral offset between the effective range of the track conditioning unit and the rail. Part of the adjustment device for the track conditioning unit is also an actuation unit for actuating an actuator unit of the track-conditioning unit with an adjustment command which is generated on the basis of the actuation command. The actuator unit adjusts an effective range of the track conditioning unit on the basis of the adjustment command.

    Abstract: A method for actuating a track conditioning unit or a wheel flange lubricating system of a rail vehicle. The track conditioning unit provides auxiliary agent to sub-regions of a rail on which the rail vehicle is travelling, in order to increase friction between the wheel and the rail. A wheel flange lubricating system provides a fluid to a wheel sub-region of the rail vehicle or to a rail sub-region, in order to reduce friction between the wheel and the rail. A relative movement between a railcar body and a bogie of the rail vehicle is detected using path measurement, in order to detect a bend in the track. Based on the path measurement, the track conditioning unit or the wheel flange lubricating system is actuated in a targeted manner according to the bend, such that the auxiliary agent or fluid is applied in a resource-saving yet effective manner.

    Abstract: A rail vehicle has a vehicle body supported in a sprung fashion on bogies. A snow plow has two blade plates that run to a point and a plow blade arranged vertically adjustably behind the blade plates. A projecting portion of the plow blade that projects downwards beyond a lower edge of the blade plates is adjustable. The blade plates rest with their lower edge on a base plate which forms a cutting edge that protrudes from the lower edge in the direction of travel. The snow plow is attached to an under frame of the vehicle body such that the base plate maintains a safety distance from the travel rails. The safety distance is predefined by a maximum spring compression of the vehicle body. The protruding portion of the plow blade is set as a function of the safety distance and of a wear of the wheels of the bogies.
