  • Publication number: 20200050723
Abstract: The following relates generally to analog circuit re-design. Some embodiments identify a candidate component of the circuit by determining that if the candidate component is adjusted or replaced, the circuit will satisfy a requirement metric. In some implementations, an optimization problem or Bayesian reasoning may be used to change parameters of the candidate component to create a replacement component. In some implementations, a replacement component of a different type than the candidate component may be selected by solving a mixed-integer optimization program or by using a non-linear program with continuous parameters.

  • Publication number: 20190384871
Abstract: Systems and methods described receive a set of experimental data of connection points of an unknown component of a partially known physical system. The systems and methods set feasibility constraints for an untrained model of the unknown component and simulate the partially known system using the untrained model of the unknown component to generate simulated data at the connection points of the unknown component. Systems and methods then optimize the untrained model based on the feasibility constraints and a comparison of the simulated data and the experimental data to generate a trained model of the unknown component.

  • Publication number: 20190258520
Abstract: Techniques for secure and efficient interfacing with a cloud computing service are described. In an embodiment, a cloud computing management service is programmed or configured to communicate with a cloud computing service. The cloud computing management service can be accessed by software engineers that are looking to deploy a software instance to a computing device of the cloud computing service. Thus, the cloud computing management service acts as an intermediary layer in front of the cloud computing service. In an embodiment, the cloud computing management service may store one or more frequently-used system parameters for deployment of software instances. The parameters conform to company's security protocols, compliance protocols, and/or other standards.

  • Patent number: 10341792
Abstract: Described are techniques for distributing audio data to multiple audio devices for generation of a synchronized audio output. A master device may receive audio data from a content server or other remote data source and store the audio data in a local cache. The master device may provide the audio data to multiple slave devices using a single multicast transmission. In some cases, the master device may also provide the audio data to individual slave devices unable to receive the multicast transmission using a network connection. Each slave device may store the audio data in a local cache. To generate the audio output, each audio device may retrieve the audio data from the associated local cache, which may enable the audio data to be distributed without modifying the commands used by audio applications to generate the audio output.

  • Patent number: 10149056
Abstract: Described are techniques for configuring a group of devices to distribute and receive data in a manner that reduces consumption of network resources. A larger group of devices may be divided into subsets of devices, each subset including a master device that provides data to multiple slave devices via a multicast transmission. A master device may be determined based on the respective signal quality between the audio devices and an access point, and the number of other audio devices to which each respective audio device may provide data. Other devices having respective signal quality for communication with the master device that exceeds a threshold may be designated as slave devices. Once a first subset is formed, the remaining devices may be grouped into additional subsets. Remaining devices that are not a part of any subset may receive data via communication with an access point.

  • Publication number: 20170344626
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to building a user profile data repository. A computer accesses, from a data repository, profile data of a first entity. The computer determines that a set of information items from the accessed profile data of the first entity are associated with a target activity. The computer determines that the set of information items associated with the target activity includes a subset of information items associated with a second entity. The computer creates or edits, within the data repository, profile data of the second entity based on the subset of information items. The computer provides a digital transmission of at least a portion of the profile data of the second entity.

  • Patent number: 8868021
Abstract: In some embodiments, a system may include a passive uniplanar single-balanced millimeter-wave mixer. In some embodiments, a three-port diode-tee IC forming a mixer core is coupled between an end of a slotline balun and a second coplanar balun. The operational bandwidth of a mixer structure is enhanced by optimizing the distance between the mixer diode-tee core and the back-short circuits. The frequency separation of LO and IF signals may be accomplished by means of stand-alone three-port filter-diplexer device. The system may allow wider than a frequency octave operational bandwidth for a frequency converter device all the way into millimeter wave frequencies at the same time as supporting the operational bandwidth for baseband IF signal over more than six frequency octaves. In some embodiments, the system may accomplish a 500 MHz to 34.5 GHz continuous IF bandwidth with RF signal sweeping from 33 GHz to 67 GHz and local oscillator at 67.5 GHz fixed frequency.

  • Patent number: 7924024
Abstract: A calibration module, for use in calibrating a VNA, includes ports connectable to the VNA, calibration standards, and single pole multi throw (SPMT) switches. Each SPMT includes a single pole terminal, multiple throw terminals and a shunt terminal corresponding to each multiple throw terminal. A switching path is between each throw terminal and the single pole terminal, and between each shunt terminal and the single pole terminal. Each switching path includes at least one solid state switching element. The calibration standards are selectively connectable to the ports of the calibration module by selectively controlling the switching elements. Each port of the calibration module is directly connected to a throw terminal of one of the SPMT switches. Also, unique algorithm are provided for calibrating a VNA when using a calibration impedance that is a hybrid of a reflect standard and a transmission standard, which can be achieved using the calibration module.
