  • Patent number: 8842640
Abstract: The present invention relates to a pre-coding method for spatial multiplexing, comprising the steps of: performing a beam search for beam forming with a receiver device equipped with multiple antennas to perform pre-coding for spatial multiplexing in a transmitter device equipped with multiple antennas; transmitting a first packet including at least one or more training sequences to the receiver device after completion of said beam search; receiving, from the receiver device, a second packet including feedback information for pre-coding, determined in the receiver device by using the training sequences; and performing pre-coding for spatial multiplexing, onto the data stream to be transmitted to the receiver device, by using the pre-coding matrix calculated on the basis of the feedback information.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 2, 2009
Date of Patent: September 23, 2014
    Assignee: LG Electronics Inc.
Inventors: Beom Jin Jeon, Joong Heon Kim, Alexey Rubtsov, Alexander Flaksman, Sergey Tiraspolsky
  • Patent number: 8351364
Abstract: A method for transmitting data in a wireless communication system provides transmitting a cluster allocation message, which informs at least one user equipment that the user equipment belongs to a cluster, to the at least one user equipment, and receiving a response to the cluster allocation message from user equipments belonging to the cluster. Small envelope correlation coefficient can be obtained without increasing the size of a user equipment.

  • Patent number: 7570696
Abstract: A multicarrier receiver generates a quantized transmit beamformer matrix ({tilde over (V)}) for each subcarrier of a multicarrier communication channel for use by a multicarrier transmitting station. The multicarrier receiver applies a corrected receiver beamformer matrix (?H) to received subcarriers signals generated by signals received from the transmitting station.

Date of Patent: August 4, 2009
    Assignee: Intel Corporation
Inventors: Alexander A. Maltsev, Ali S Sadri, Sergey A. Tiraspolsky, Alexander Flaksman, Alexei V Davydov
