  • Patent number: 11951515
Abstract: Techniques for depowdering in additive fabrication are provided. According to some aspects, techniques are provided that separate powder from parts by directing gas onto, or near to, the powder. While fragile green parts, such as green parts produced by binder jetting, may be fragile with respect to scraping or impacts, such parts may nonetheless be resistance to damage from directed gas, even if directed at a high pressure. Techniques for depowdering through directed application of gas may be automated, thereby mitigating challenges associated with manual depowdering operations.

  • Publication number: 20150325349
Abstract: The invention refers to a method for manufacturing a at least 90% relative density of MnBi comprising permanent magnet (7), with a step of synthesizing (ST1a) an anisotropic low temperature phase (LTP) MnBi powder consisting of crystallite particles (1), whereby an aligned and pre-compacted powder is annealed below 628K such that a liquid Bi film (5) is formed around each of the MnBi particles (1).

  • Publication number: 20120019342
Abstract: RE-TM based permanent magnets (single phase, hybrid, laminated or polymer bonded magnets) fabricated by using nanoflakes produced by surfactant assisted, wet, high energy ball-milling, with or without prior dry high energy ball-milling, where RE represents rare earth elements and TM represents transition metals.

  • Publication number: 20120021219
Abstract: Magnetic nanoflakes fabricated by surfactant assisted, wet, high energy ball milling of bulk precursors, with or without preceding dry, high energy ball milling, wherein certain nanoflakes indicate hard magnetic properties, crystallographic texture and magnetic anisotropy.
