  • Publication number: 20230118789
Abstract: The invention relates to an improved transmission protocol for uplink data packet transmission in a communication system. A receiver of a user equipment receives a Fast Retransmission Indicator, referred to as FRI. The FRI indicates whether or not a base station requests a retransmission of a previously transmitted data packet. A transmitter of the user equipment retransmits the data packet using the same redundancy version as already used for the previous transmission of the data packet.

  • Publication number: 20230114623
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for dynamically indicating a TDD reconfiguration to the mobile station by encoding the dynamic TDD re-configuration indication into the DCI or CRC calculated for the DCI. In one embodiment, the TDD configuration indication is implicitly encoded as an RNTI into the CRC, when scrambling the CRC for the DCI with a TDD-RNTI. In another embodiment, the TDD configuration indication is part of the DCI payload, while the CRC for the DCI is scrambled with a cell identifier, identifying the target cell for which the dynamic TDD re-configuration is to be applied. In still another embodiment, the TDD configuration indication is part of the DCI payload, where the DCI payload further includes an invalid parameter indicating to the mobile station that the DCI carries the TDD configuration indication.

  • Patent number: 11622349
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to receiving and transmitting data in a frame with subframes of a wireless communication system, each subframe being either an uplink subframe accommodating uplink signal, a downlink subframe accommodating downlink signal or a special subframe including a downlink signal portion as well as an uplink signal portion. A control signal includes a special subframe configuration specifying the length of the uplink and/or downlink portion of the special subframe. The mapping and demapping of user data and/or control data including feedback information in a transmission time interval, TTI, onto or from one subframe is then performed, wherein the length of a second TTI for mapping onto the uplink portion of a special subframe is shorter than a first TTI for mapping onto an uplink subframe, or a first number of TTIs mapped onto the uplink subframe is larger than a second number of TTIs for mapping onto the uplink portion of a special subframe.

  • Patent number: 11617190
Abstract: The invention relates to a user equipment for being scheduled with uplink radio resources. The user equipment receives from a radio base station a first-stage uplink resource scheduling message, indicating uplink radio resources usable by the UE to perform an uplink transmission via an unlicensed cell. The receiver further receives a second-stage uplink resource scheduling message, which is related to the first-stage uplink resource scheduling message. Upon reception of the second-stage uplink resource scheduling message, a processor of the UE determines that an uplink transmission is scheduled in case the first-stage uplink resource scheduling message is valid. The first-stage uplink resource scheduling message is determined valid based on a determination as to whether an uplink transmission has been triggered by another second-stage uplink resource scheduling message within a predetermined time period prior to reception of the second-stage uplink resource scheduling message.

  • Patent number: 11616593
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to enabling and disabling of codewords in multi-subframe grants. In particular, dynamic and subframe based enabling/disabling of codewords is enabled even if other control parameters including the resource allocation is performed for multiple subframes. For instance, signal from a scheduling entity to a scheduled entity comprises control information including the resource grant common for multiple subframes and a plurality of codewords for each subframe, and a codeword indication indicating enabling or disabling of one or more codewords for each of the multiple subframes. For each subframe it is determined whether a codeword from the plurality of codewords in said subframes is enabled or disabled according to the codeword indication and/or which codeword is enabled or disabled. The indication of enabling and disabling may alternatively be done by using modulation and coding scheme indicator values which are not associated with a particular modulation and coding scheme.

  • Patent number: 11611956
Abstract: The invention relates to a new structure of a control channel region within a sub-frame of a 3GPP-based based communication system using OFDM in the downlink. This new structure of a control channel region is inter alia particularly suitable for conveying physical downlink control channel information from a donor eNodeB to a relay node. The control channel region is divided in CCEs that have equal size irrespective of the presence of further cell-specific and/or UE-specific reference signals within the control channel region. This is achieved by dividing the control channel region in plural sub-CCEs that are combined to CCEs all having equal size (in terms of resource elements that can be used for the signaling of control information). The control channel region is divided in the frequency domain and/or time domain in a FDM respectively TDM fashion in order to obtain the sub-CCEs.

  • Publication number: 20230006707
Abstract: Provided is a wireless communication apparatus wherein channel estimation accuracy is improved while keeping the position of each bit in a frame, even when a modulation system having a large modulation multiple value is used for a data symbol. In the wireless communication apparatus, an encoding section encodes and outputs transmitting data to a bit converting section, and the bit converting section converts at least one bit of a plurality of bits constituting a data symbol to be used for channel estimation, among the encoded bit strings, into ‘1’ or ‘0’ and outputs it to a modulating section. The modulating section modulates the bit string inputted from the bit converting section by using a single modulation mapper and a plurality of data symbols are generated.
