  • Patent number: 8833867
Abstract: In a method and a device for the control of a vehicle brake system, the setpoint values for each wheel are corrected based on the difference between brake pressures in at least one wheel brake of two different brake circuits.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 29, 2002
Date of Patent: September 16, 2014
    Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbH

  • Publication number: 20060279136
Abstract: An electrically triggered parking brake system for motor vehicles includes an operating element for actuating the parking brake system and at least one control unit which triggers an actuator of the parking brake system in response to actuation of the operating element. A configuration of the parking brake system includes one control unit which is arranged such that it is able to trigger both an actuator for actuating a wheel brake and an actuator for arresting the wheel brake.

  • Patent number: 7011379
Abstract: A control circuit for a controllable electric solenoid valve of a brake system of a motor vehicle is described, in which the actual values of a controlled variable (f(t)), e.g., the vehicle deceleration, a wheel slip, a driving speed, an angle of rotation or the like are returned to a predetermined tolerance band. The actual value of the controlled variable is measured continuously and compared with the predetermined tolerance band, which is stored in an EEPROM, for example. If the actual value of the controlled variable leaves the predetermined tolerance band (22), a correction device (15) intervenes and returns the actual value to the predetermined tolerance band by increasing or decreasing the trigger current for the solenoid valve (1).

  • Publication number: 20040026990
Abstract: A method and a device are described for controlling the brake pressure acting on a wheel brake in a braking system having a pressure generation device for generating a setpoint pressure (Pset) preset by a regulation, an intake valve for admitting a brake fluid into the wheel brake, and a pressure-limiting valve for limiting the brake pressure to a selectable threshold value. To improve the braking response of the wheel brake, it is suggested that the threshold value be set at the pressure-limiting valve as a function of the pressure buildup gradient.

  • Patent number: 6682154
Abstract: A method and/or a device for estimating pressure and/or volume changes in a hydraulic system having two peripheral volume storage vessels connected to a central volume storage vessel, in which, to increase the response rate, the estimate is based at least at times on a model in which a direct connection to the peripheral volume storage vessels is assumed, regardless of whether or not the peripheral volume storage vessels are simultaneously connected directly to each other.

  • Patent number: 6504699
Abstract: A method and a device are proposed for driving a solenoid valve that has stroke ranges of a stable equilibrium of forces and stroke ranges of an unstable equilibrium of forces. For setting the predetermined differential pressure across the solenoid valve, a driving signal quantity is generated which is selected such that the stroke ranges of an unstable equilibrium of forces are avoided or the dwell time of the solenoid valve in these ranges is reduced.

  • Patent number: 6243639
Abstract: A method and device for estimating pressure changes within a hydraulic system having a first reservoir and at least one second reservoir connected to the first reservoir via valves, including the following steps: (a) specifying a pressure differential between the first and second reservoirs; (b) calculating a volume exchanged within a specified time interval between the first and second reservoirs via the valve, on the basis of a value for the pressure differential that is valid at the start of the time interval; (c) calculating a volume to be exchanged between the two reservoirs to achieve equal pressures in them; (d) if the amount of the exchanged volume calculated in step (b) is greater than the volume to be exchanged as calculated in step (c), replacing the value of the exchanged volume with that of the volume to be exchanged; and (e) adopting the volume value obtained in step (d) as the change in the volume in the second reservoir and determining the pressure change in the reservoirs on the basis of
