  • Publication number: 20200077568
Abstract: A hand held trencher assembly for digging a trench with existing weed trimmers includes a weed trimmer that is manipulated by a user. The weed trimmer has a motor, a pole and a drive that is positioned within the pole. The drive is rotatably coupled to the motor such that the motor rotates the drive when the motor is turned on. A trenching unit is removably coupled to the pole such that the trenching unit lies on the ground when the weed trimmer is employed. The trenching unit is releasably coupled to the drive for powering the trenching unit thereby facilitating the trenching unit to dig a trench in the ground.

  • Patent number: 7014270
Abstract: A tail extension (1) adapted to be pivotally attached (2) to a load carrying container (3). Tail (1) pivots between a first position substantially outwards from a floor of the container, and a second position upwardly inclined relative to said floor. Tail (1) may be formed as one or a plurality of sections which move individually or cooperatively. Tail (1) may be pivotally connected (2) adjacent the floor of container (3) by a hinge allowing free movement and/or may be displaced by a drive means (e.g. hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic). By tail (1) being able to pivot when contracting the ground, tail (1) and container (3) are not going to be subjected to undue forces which may damage tail (1) or container (3). When being transported, tail (1) acts as an extension to improve the load carrying capacity of the container by extending outwardly, or, can be displaced upwardly by a drive means to form a rear wall on the container.

  • Patent number: 6871426
Abstract: A locking arrangement (1) for releasably locking a wear tooth (2) to a tooth adaptor (3); the wear tooth (2) being defined by a top wall, a bottom wall and a pair of opposed sidewalls, each sidewall having an elongate slot (5) therethrough; the tooth adaptor (3) being of generally complementary shape to receive said wear tooth (2), and having an elongate cavity (6) on each opposed side thereof adapted to substantially align with a respective slot (5) of said wear tooth (2) when said wear tooth is installed on said tooth adaptor; said slot having a first inner surface, the locking arrangement including a retaining means (4) to be installed in each aligned cavity and slot to releasably lock said tooth (2) to said adaptor (3), the retaining means (4) including a pair of engaging retaining pieces (7, 8) adapted to fit in end-abutting relationship when in said locked position, whereby, an arcuate force is applied to at least one of said pieces (7, 8) to release said pieces from said locked position.
