Publication number: 20240317487Abstract: The present disclosure is a removeable container tracking enclosure assembly that has a body defining an interior cavity configured to house electronics, a pivot assembly coupled to the body on one end and providing a pivot coupler on another end, the pivot coupler being pivotable relative to the body, and a face plate selectively coupled to the pivot coupler with a fastener. The fastener is coupleable to the pivot coupler at an install length and a secured length. The body is sized to fit through an opening in a corner casting when the fastener is at the install length. The body is sized to selectively span the opening to be secured therein when oriented in a secured position. Further, the body is selectively locked in the secured position with the fastener at the secured length by compressing a portion of the corner casting between the face plate and the body.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 25, 2024Publication date: September 26, 2024Inventors: Alexander Hardy, John Pulaski, Ryan Rasmussen, Matthew Spencer, Ryan Secrest, Kaleb Xander Vance, Khalid Zouhri, Rebecca Blust

Patent number: 12081674Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed where a server determines parameters for establishing a remote online notarization session, the remote online notarization session including participants, the participants including at least a signer and a notary. The server establishes the session according to the parameters, and monitors, during the session, information from the signer client device and the notary client device. The server detects a failure from the information based on at least one of the signer client device and the notary client device having failed to comply with a parameter of the parameters. Responsive to detecting the failure, the server pauses the remote online notarization session and outputting a selectable cure option to at least one of the participants that, when selected initiates a workflow that, when concluded, cures the failure and enables the remote online notarization session to proceed.Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 2021Date of Patent: September 3, 2024Assignee: DOCUSIGN, INC.Inventors: Alexander Hardy, Allan Keller, Peter Rung

Publication number: 20230306140Abstract: A platform implements a remote online notarization service. The remote online notarization (RON) service allows notarization of digital documents which have been electronically signed. The RON process can be initiated by a facilitator and involves participants including one or more signers and a notary. The RON service provided by the present system confirms technical features of each participants device used to participate in the RON process. Once a participant's device is verified and the participant is verified, the participant is provided with access to a notarization session in which the notarization takes place. The service provides a manageable, reliable platform for implementing a RON process based on features including digitally witnessing of document e-signing, use of custom notary stamps, and creation of unique notary journal entries.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 2, 2023Publication date: September 28, 2023Inventors: Alexander Hardy, Allan Keller, Peter Rung

Publication number: 20220284526Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed where a server receives a request to establish a remote online notarization session. The server identifies participants including at least a signer and a notary and identifies identifying an envelope to be notarized during the remote online notarization session. The server determines, based on contents of the envelope, parameters of the remote online notarization session, and selects a protocol to which the remote online notarization session will conform. The system establishes the remote online notarization session using the protocol, and determines, while monitoring the session, whether the protocol was breached by at least one of the signer and the notary. If the protocol was breached, the server re-starts the remote online notarization session, otherwise the server the remote online notarization session, and outputs a notarized version of the envelope.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 2, 2021Publication date: September 8, 2022Inventors: Alexander Hardy, Allan Keller, Peter Rung

Patent number: 11184317Abstract: Functionality is disclosed for providing status updates for email threads. A personal information management (PIM) server application receive a first message and a second message. The PIM server application can extract a first status value from the first message and a second status value from the second message, and can generate a status notification message that includes one or both of the first status value or the second status value. The PIM server application can also receive a third message subsequent to the first and second messages, and extract a third status value from the third message. Subsequently, the status notification message can be updated by replacing the first status value or the second status value with the third status value in the status notification message. In this manner, the status notification message can provide a consolidated view of the latest status of multiple email threads.Type: GrantFiled: October 20, 2015Date of Patent: November 23, 2021Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Ivo van Doorn, Matthijs Frans Wessels, Enrico Huijbers, Steven Alexander Hardy, Robert Vos, Markus Petrus Giuseppe Sartor

Patent number: 10069928Abstract: Client applications that use an open session connection on a unidirectional communication channel, including a plurality of requests, can have such requests aggregated and transformed into individual requests for transmission over a bidirectional communication channel. In at least one embodiment of a proxy disclosed herein, an RPC stream is transformed into multiple individual HTTP requests. By using individual HTTP requests, such requests can be handled easily by existing HTTP infrastructure, such as proxies and HTTP servers. In another embodiment, a plurality of RPC requests can be embedded within an individual HTTP request so as to ensure that the RPC requests are not modified.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 2015Date of Patent: September 4, 2018Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Steven Alexander Hardy, Mark Swaanenburg, Enrico Huijbers

Patent number: 9858301Abstract: In one embodiment, entries in a database journal in a non-interactive mode can be partially flushed to maintain database performance. In particular, data records that require decryption prior to flushing a database journal entry can be bypassed in non-interactive mode, while data records that need not be decrypted can be flushed. For example, entries that relate to a creation or deletion of a data record can be performed, while entries relating to modification of an existing record can be bypassed and processed during an interactive mode of operation. Other embodiments also include a transformation of the database journal using a filter so that multiple entries to a same record can be combined.Type: GrantFiled: January 20, 2015Date of Patent: January 2, 2018Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Steven Alexander Hardy, Mark Swaanenburg

Patent number: 9838482Abstract: In one embodiment, a system uses a two-layer deterministic function, such as a hashing mechanism, to ensure session stickiness or affinity. A client can generate a session key that can be used for at least two things. First, a load balancer can be selected by the client using the session key by using a consistent or deterministic hashing algorithm so that the same load balancer is selected from a set of weighted load balancers. After selecting the load balancer, the client can send the request to the selected load balancer. The load balancer then uses the same session key, which can be transmitted in an HTTP header, to select a backend host server computer. The result is that session affinity is maintained.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 2014Date of Patent: December 5, 2017Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Steven Alexander Hardy, Markus Petrus Giuseppe Sartor, Mark Swaanenburg, Isaac Alon Salpeter
