  • Publication number: 20260092772
Abstract: A method for measuring at least one cross-sectional dimension of a cylindrical hollow body having a wall surrounding a lumen, a longitudinal axis, an inner surface and an outer surface includes: directing a light beam along a travel path from an interferometric device towards the outer surface, such that at least intermittently at least a portion of the light beam hits the outer surface of the hollow body; receiving a portion of light reflected at the outer surface and receiving a portion of light reflected at the inner surface along the travel path at the interferometric device; obtaining at least one cross-sectional dimension of the hollow body based on an interferometric measurement of the portion of light reflected at the outer surface and/or the portion of light reflected at the inner surface; and varying an orientation of the travel path of the light beam towards the hollow body.

  • Patent number: 12091108
Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a computer-implemented method for a pitch angle recognition of a steering column in a vehicle. In aspects, the computer-implemented method includes measuring first acceleration data using a first acceleration sensor and measuring second acceleration data using a second acceleration sensor. The computer-implemented method further includes determining drift data of at least one of the first acceleration sensor and the second acceleration sensor based on the first acceleration data and the second acceleration data. Additionally, the computer-implemented method includes determining a pitch angle of the steering column based on the drift data, the first acceleration data, and the second acceleration data.

  • Patent number: 12045625
Abstract: A method is disclosed for operating an electronic data processing system (10) operable under an operating system. The electronic data processing system has a boot system (13) for selectively loading an operating system from one of a plurality of storage media (12, 30). The boot system is accessible to an external user after the user executes an identification protocol with the boot system. The identification protocol is a challenge-response protocol based on a challenge generated by the boot system. More particularly, the challenge is randomly generated by the boot system and communicated to the user in an outgoing message and the user generates a response to the challenge as an incoming message to the boot system. A specific application is related to an electronic data processing system, and to a weighing scale (1), where the authentication system includes the electronic data processing system.
