Abstract: A method and system for rating and evaluating music/songs of one or more performing artists includes playing at least two musical performances/songs of one or more performing artists, requesting a third party to indicate a preference of said musical performances/songs, and compensating a provider for determining the preference of the third party. The method and system also enables rating the music/songs of a performing artists by determining a number of different categories/genres of music, assigning a different indicia to each category/genre, assigning a different indicia to each song uploaded onto a system, requesting a third party to listen to one or more musical performances/songs and to designate a preference, and adjusting the numerical scores for the third party's musical category/genre preference by comparing the indicia designated by the third party user with that of the performing artist.
