An Internet processor for searching and identifying a plurality of child documents hierarchically linked to a parent document identified by the object and excluding non-hierarchically associated documents in response to user initiation of a hierarchical search. An output processor processes data identifying the plurality of child documents for communication to a reproduction device.

In a clothing style selection and matching game embodiment, the display image presents an indicator of degree of match of dress items in the match zone with a winner having best match. In another game embodiment, the display image presents multiple different match zones with a winner matching dress items in the multiple different match zones fastest. The match zone presents the selected top dress item and the bottom dress item with substantially matching waist size.

The intra-program event guide enables a User to identify the events (e.g. scenes, episodes, alternative scenes, program portions etc.) occurring within a program and to initiate viewing (or initiate other functions associated with the event) via the guide. A method for processing information concerning intra-program events (e.g. comprising particular MPEG compatible groups of pictures (GOPS)) occurring within a program involves receiving signal data and identifying in the signal data information items describing intra-program events occurring during a program. The information items describing intra-program events are processed to provide processed data representative of intra-program events sequentially ordered by time and the processed data is communicated to a device. Generation of an intra-program event guide of the information items is initiated in response to user command.

Abstract: A system supports uploading, downloading, collating and storage of bookmark addresses (Universal Resource Locator codes--URLs) using a remote Internet site. A method for accessing Internet data using a remotely stored Internet address or bookmark (URL address code) at a User site involves initiating Internet communication with a remote Internet site and receiving User identification information for obtaining access to a stored bookmark. At least one bookmark stored at the remote Internet site is selected and transfer of data is initiated from an Internet data source at the selected bookmark address. The remote Internet site receives User identification information and bookmarks via Internet communication, stores the bookmarks in a file identifiable with the User Identification information and downloads the stored bookmarks in response to a request via Internet communication.
