  • Publication number: 20170326556
Abstract: The separation of materials according to their density is carried out in a fluid bath by floating ground light materials and carrying same over an overflow, as well as depositing ground heavier materials on a horizontal sieve base within the fluid bath. In order to improve the floating of the lighter materials, a displacement body is cyclically sunk into the fluid bath. The fluid bath is supplied with additional fluid in a synchronous manner with the cyclical movement of the displacement body. A control device for supplying the fluid can also be connected to pressure sensors or the drive of the displacement body.

  • Publication number: 20170065982
Abstract: A comminution machine having a stationary anvil and rotating hammer strike iron. In such machines, when hammer heads are worn out, the entire hammer strike iron must always be replaced, insofar as a uniform quality is to be achieved in the comminuted material. This is very cost-intensive. The invention thus proposes a novel hammer strike iron having an insert piece which has a cylindrical, eccentric bore or an eccentric oblong hole for receiving a swivel pin of the comminution machine. The insert piece has cheeks of differing thickness on both ends, such that, by rotating the insert piece in the hammer strike iron by 180°, the distance between the hammer head and the anvil can be varied. If a hammer head has been inadmissibly worn, the insert piece can be removed, turned 180°, and reinstalled. The gap between the anvil and the hammer head can thus be uniformly regulated.

  • Patent number: 9375724
Abstract: A process and device for separation of plastic material from other stuff of a various density by a flotation process in a liquid bath. The process involves discharging heavier stuff that settles on the screen bottom by a movable screen bottom slowly moves in the direction of reducing a slot that exists between one edge of screen bottom and the wall of the flotation tank and then after having reached a final position too quickly and abruptly move in the counter-direction. That movement occurs in intervals. This abrupt motion of screen bottom initiates that kinetic energy accumulated in the heaps of metal and other heavy stuff moves this stuff towards the slot-edge and through the slot into a collection-container underneath the screen bottom to be discharged.

  • Patent number: 9352333
Abstract: A process and a device for dry separation of a conglomerate of metal scrap of non-magnetic particles from magnetic ones. Dry separation equipment for metal scrap which have a sequence of magnets placed in line, the poles of which are north-pole to south-pole are unable to meet this requirement. This insufficiency is due to the fact that the conglomerate of metal scrap is not sufficiently shook. This procedure does mean that at the end of transportation there is still non-magnetic material and other stuff fixed to the magnetic material. Intensive motion necessary is achieved by this invention by locating magnets adjacent to one another with equal poles, north-pole to north-pole and south-pole to south-pole and so on.

  • Publication number: 20160024612
Abstract: A method and a device for obtaining scrap iron from a mixture of comminuted scrap metal. The device and the method are characterized in that individual steps are carried out in order to remove iron from additives adhering to the iron. Emphasis is placed on copper and copper-containing additives. Comminuted scrap metal is divided into small and large scrap parts using a sieve device. The small scrap parts are transported to a scrap sorting machine, and the large material parts are returned to the macerator. In the scrap sorting machine, copper-containing material is sorted out, and iron which still contains copper is guided to a special over-belt magnet via a vibrating trough, the over-belt magnet shaking and rocking the copper-containing material over the belt section such that nonmagnetic additives drop down from the iron, and iron with a copper content of only 0.01% to a maximum of 0.1% is obtained.

  • Patent number: 8967385
Abstract: An installation for clear separation in one cycle of a conglomerate of different metals into individual material components. The installation involves the conglomerate of different metals being comminuted in a machine for producing a homogeneous mixture of metals and being transported to a feeding device. The conglomerate is transported to a highly magnetic rotating drum that separates ferrous-magnetic materials together with fluff and then conveys remaining nonferrous materials to a slowly running conveyor belt, underneath the conveyor belt, slowly rotating discs are mounted in a row that carry on their outer surface area a plurality of permanent magnets of an alternating pol direction. The nonferrous materials include particles that are stripped into a collection bin.

  • Patent number: 8201762
Abstract: A machine for noduling of metal scrap that can upon conversion be used for comminuting such scrap. Frequently machines for comminuting are constructed by a bipartite frame solely for cleaning purpose. One part is solidly fixed to a foundation while the other one is fixed to the first one by hinges and a locking device, so that it can be turned away from the first part of the frame. To further develop such machines that an exchange of worn components is possible and that simply by conversion and by saving of time, one sort of usage can easily be transferred to another one, the complete rotor-block is mounted together with its bearings on a swivelling arm that can be turned away from the frame of the machine in order to enable free access to the interior of the machine.

  • Patent number: 7950525
Abstract: A method and a device for separating plastic materials in accordance with their chemical composition, which is based on the difference in density of such materials. For this purpose, a flotation process which works with a flotation liquid that is put into vibration is used, the frequency of which is controlled in accordance with the density of the particles to settle. Heavier plastic particles settle on a perforated plate bottom and are removed to a collecting container filled with the same liquid to the same level as the flotation tank. Lighter plastic particles float to the surface and are fed into a follow-up flotation tank for further separation.

  • Publication number: 20080110806
Abstract: This invention comprises a method and a device for separating plastic materials in accordance with their chemical composition. That is based on the difference in density of such materials, since each individual plastic material possesses a density, which is unique for such individual plastic material and reflects its chemical nature. Pure plastic material obtained by this invention may then be returned to a material specific re-usage. For this purpose a flotation process has been developed which works with a flotation liquid that is put into vibration, the frequency of that is controlled in accordance of the density of the particles to settle. Heavier plastic particles settle on a perforated plate bottom and are removed to a collecting container filled with the same liquid to the same level as the flotation tank. Lighter plastic particles float to the surface and are fed into a follow-up flotation tank for further separation.
