  • Patent number: 7502503
Abstract: The present invention concerns the blending of plural x-ray images to form a blended composite image wherein in blending the images, a stitching boundary adjustment is determined for use in adjusting boundary pixels of the composite image, and an adjustment for other pixels that are located at some distance from the boundary is determined, wherein the adjustment for the other pixels depends on the stitching boundary adjustment and on values of the boundary pixels.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 23, 2005
Date of Patent: March 10, 2009
    Assignee: Canon Kabushiki Kaisha
Inventors: Ivan Bojer, Alexander Leonidovich Berestov, Autumn Claire Spaulding

  • Patent number: 6978040
Abstract: Processing of up to a plurality of radiographic images of a subject, includes the capture of at least two visible light images of the subject, two or more of the visible light images in correspondence to at least one radiographic image. The visible light images are captured by one or more visible light cameras, each visible light camera in a known geometric relation to the radiographic source. Radiographic geometry of each radiographic image is calculated relative to the radiographic source and the subject through stereoscopic analysis of the visible light images and through reference to the known geometric relation between the one or more visible light cameras and the radiographic source. Three-dimensional radiographic information on the subject is generated and manipulated by processing the up to a plurality of radiographic images based on the recovered radiographic geometry.

  • Publication number: 20030154201
Abstract: Data storage format for storing topography data associated with an object includes a first section for storing topography data in relation to a reference entity with respect to which the topography data is measured or calculated, a second section for storing information concerning the reference entity, and a third section for storing information concerning the topography direction along which the topography data is measured or calculated. Data is stored in the data storage format by determining reference entity with respect to which the topography data is measured or calculated, obtaining information regarding the reference entity and storing that information in a second section of the data storage format, obtaining information corresponding to the topography direction along which the topography data is measured or calculated and storing that information in a third section of the data storage format, and storing topography data in a first section of the data storage format.
