  • Patent number: 11951672
Abstract: Methods of manufacturing multi-material fibers having one or more electrically-connectable devices disposed therein are described. In certain instances, the methods include the steps of: positioning the electrically-connectable device(s) within a corresponding pocket provided in a preform material; positioning a first electrical conductor longitudinally within a first conduit provided in the preform material; and drawing the multi-material fiber by causing the preform material to flow, such that the first electrical conductor extends within the multi-material fiber along a longitudinal axis thereof and makes an electrical contact with a first electrode located on each electrically-connectable device. A metallurgical bond may be formed between the first electrical conductor and the first electrode while drawing the multi-material fiber and/or, after drawing the multi-material fiber, the first electrical conductor may be located substantially along a neutral axis of the multi-material fiber.

  • Publication number: 20240101889
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and compositions for controlling asphaltenes in a subterranean formation. The compositions may include a halloysite nanotube. The nanotube has a lumen and a polymer, along with a charged surfactant, may be disposed in the lumen. A wax may be disposed on the nanotube. The wax may be disposed at either or both ends of the nanotube, thereby temporarily preventing the polymer and charged surfactant from leaving the lumen.

  • Patent number: 11923044
Abstract: Techniques for predicting a protein sequence are described. An exemplary method includes receiving a request to predict a missing area of a protein's primary sequence and a corresponding three-dimensional position of the missing area; applying a machine learning model to backbone Cartesian coordinates of the protein's primary sequence and a protein vector of a representation of the protein's primary sequence including the missing area to predict a missing area of the protein primary sequence and a corresponding three-dimensional position for the missing area, wherein the machine learning model is selected from the group consisting of: an attention-based machine learning model, a bidirectional long short term memory-based model, and a convolutional neural network-based model; and outputting a result of the machine learning model.

  • Publication number: 20230330929
Abstract: The application relates to a method for the additive manufacture of a product, wherein a melt is discharged via a 3D printing head and the melt is deposited in the form of a melt strand on a printing table to form the product, wherein the 3D printing head and/or the printing table are moved in space in accordance with a product-specific computer program. The application is characterised in that the melt is supplied to the 3D printing nozzle via a needle valve nozzle. For the additive manufacture of the product, a volumetric flow of melt is specified which is specified by the geometry of the melt strand to be deposited and the traverse rate of the 3D printing nozzle and/or the printing table. The nozzle needle is moved between the closed position and the open position in such a way that the specified volumetric flow is maintained during the additive manufacture of the product.

  • Patent number: 11100458
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a method, computer system, and computer program product for controlling an electronic device based on mapping sensors to a physical asset. Embodiments of the present invention may include controlling or sending commands to an electronic device associated with a physical asset based on a mapping, where the mapping involves creating one or more groupings, based on sensor data, grouping data, and asset data, wherein at least one grouping comprises a physical asset and one or more sensors, and wherein the asset data pertains to the physical asset. Embodiments of the present invention may further include ranking the groupings by confidence level, and mapping the sensors to the physical asset based on a user selection received in response to presenting, to a user, the ranked groupings based on the confidence levels.

  • Patent number: 10768841
Abstract: Technologies for managing network statistic counters include a network interface controller (NIC) of a computing device configured to identify a statistic counter of and a software consumer associated with a received network packet and identify an active counter page as a function of the identified software consumer. The NIC is further configured to read a value of the statistic counter stored at a counter memory address of a corresponding counter identifier entry of the identified active counter page, increment a read value of the statistic counter, and write the incremented value of the statistic counter back to the counter memory address. Additionally, in response to detecting a notification triggering event, generating a notification message that includes a present value of the statistic counter and a present value of each of the other statistic counters of the active counter page, and transmit the generated notification message to the software consumer. Other embodiments are described herein.
