Abstract: A method for producing phosgene from chlorine and carbon monoxide (1), the method being characterised in that carbon monoxide obtained by catalytic decomposition of methanol (4) is provided and this provided carbon monoxide (2) is reacted with chlorine to form phosgene (3). Using this method, low-emission phosgene for the production of isocyanates and polycarbonates can be provided, despite possible fluctuations in the provision of renewable energies. Methanol serves as the source for carbon monoxide, the methanol used for this purpose preferably being provided using regenerative energy from hydrogen and COx, where x=1 or 2.

  • Publication number: 20250046172
Abstract: In an example method, a mobile device obtains a signal indicating an acceleration measured by a sensor over a time period. The mobile device determines an impact experienced by the user based on the signal. The mobile device also determines, based on the signal, one or more first motion characteristics of the user during a time prior to the impact, and one or more second motion characteristics of the user during a time after the impact. The mobile device determines that the user has fallen based on the impact, the one or more first motion characteristics of the user, and the one or more second motion characteristics of the user, and in response, generates a notification indicating that the user has fallen.

  • Publication number: 20250045781
Abstract: Features from historical transaction and customer data of a financial institution are calculated and/or extracted. Each customer is assigned to a given profitability cluster within each interval of time over a historical period of time based on the corresponding features. A self-supervised machine learning model is trained on the features to predict the clusters in a future interval of time. Features for a most-recent past interval of time are provided as input to the model and the model returns a predicted cluster for a given customer in a future interval of time. When the customer-assigned cluster in the most-recent past interval of time is a higher prioritized cluster than the predicted cluster for the future interval of time, a system of a financial institution (FI) is notified to take one or more mitigating in an attempt to prevent customer churn with the FI.

  • Publication number: 20250046409
Abstract: The application includes systems and methods for phenotyping. A request is received to identify a target population having a phenotype. Predefined characteristics associated with the phenotype are obtained. Using a retriever model, a set of subjects is identified as potential members of the target population by searching databases. Medical information is obtained by searching a second set of one or more databases and providing corresponding information to an artificial intelligence (AI) component. Natural language instructions are provided to the AI component to provide context to the AI component to determine whether a respective subject in the set of subjects has at least one of the one or more predefined characteristics. A subset of subjects is identified by the AI system to be, or to have a high likelihood of being, a member of the target population.

  • Publication number: 20250044458
Abstract: Apparatus and methods provide anti-spoofing capability from a first global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receiver to a second GNSS receiver. These GNSS receivers can be, for example, global positioning satellite (GPS) receivers. Via an authentication technique, signals from authentic GNSS sources are distinguished from signals from spoofers. Timing information, such as numerically-controlled oscillator (NCO) settings, used for tracking authenticated signals are then used to generate replica GNSS signals, which are then provided to the second GNSS receiver. As a result, the second GNSS receiver can provide accurate positioning system information in the presence of GNSS spoofers.
