  • Patent number: 10824143
Abstract: Autoscrubbers are capable of being operated in a manual (e.g. walk-behind) mode and an autonomous (operator free) mode and capable of switching between such operational modes. Apparatus and methods for steering such autoscrubbers use steering torque mechanisms to apply steering torques independently to left and right drive wheels. Steering systems for autonomous operation may be retrofit onto existing walk-behind autoscrubbers to implement this functionality. The autonomous control capability may not detract appreciably from an operator's ability to use the autoscrubber in a manual (walk-behind) mode.

  • Patent number: 10827598
Abstract: In an array of a plurality of plasma generator modules for generating a physical plasma by dielectric barrier discharges at atmospheric pressure, each of the plasma generator modules comprises two parallel electrodes linearly extending at a lateral distance, one of which having a dielectric barrier; connection devices for connecting the electrodes to a high voltage source; two flat gas-conducting elements conducting a working gas between the electrodes; and a module housing delimiting the respective plasma generator module laterally along the electrodes and transversely to the electrodes. The module housings are fixed to one another or to a common module frame by means of fixation devices. The module housings are arranged side by side both in a first direction along and in a second direction transverse to the electrodes, and in such an offset way that the electrodes of the plasma generator modules partially overlap in the direction along the electrodes.

  • Publication number: 20200344205
Abstract: A first edge server of multiple edge servers of a distributed edge computing network receives a request from a client device regarding a resource hosted at an origin server according to an anycast implementation. The first edge server modifies the request to include identifying information for the first edge server prior to sending the request to the origin server. The origin server responds with a response packet that includes the identifying information of the first edge server. Instead of routing the response packet to the client device directly, one of the multiple edge servers receives the response packet due to the edge servers each having the same anycast address. If the edge server that receives the response packet is not the first edge server, that edge server transmits the response packet to the first edge server, who processes the response packet and transmits the response packet to the client device.

  • Publication number: 20200342581
Abstract: A system and method for performing real-time quality inspection of objects is disclosed. The system and method include a transport to move objects being inspected, allowing the inspection to be performed in-line. At least one optical acquisition unit is provided that captured optical images of the objects being inspected. The captured optical images are matched to CAD models of objects, and the matched CAD model is extracted. A laser with an illumination light beam has a wavelength in the violet or ultraviolet range then conducts scans of the objects, which are formed into three-dimensional point clouds. The point clouds are compared to the extracted CAD models for each object, where CTF are compared to user input or CAD model information and the object is determined to be acceptable or defective based on the extent of deviation between the point cloud and the CAD model.

  • Publication number: 20200342680
Abstract: A supervisory computer vision (CV) system may include a secondary CV system running in parallel with a native CV system on a mobile device. The secondary CV system is configured to run less frequently than the native CV system. CV algorithms are then run on these less-frequent sample images, generating information for localizing the device to a reference point cloud (e.g., provided over a network) and for transforming between a local point cloud of the native CV system and the reference point cloud. AR content may then be consistently positioned relative to the convergent CV system's coordinate space and visualized on a display of the mobile device. Various related algorithms facilitate the efficient operation of this system.

  • Publication number: 20200340063
Abstract: An analytics system marks duplicate fragments from an initial set of fragments from a subject. The analytics system generates a sample state vector for each fragment. Each sample state vector comprises a sample genomic location within a reference genome and a plurality of methylation states for a plurality of CpG sites in the fragment, the methylation states determined to be one of methylated, unmethylated, variant, and ambiguous. The analytics system identifies two fragments with methylation state vectors as being derived from a matching reference location, e.g., sharing a common plurality of CpG sites. The analytics system calculates a modified Hamming distance based on methylation states in the first sample state vector and methylation states in the second sample state vector. Based on the modified Hamming distance, the analytics system marks the first fragment and the second fragment as either duplicate fragments or non-duplicate fragments.

  • Publication number: 20200341807
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus for scheduling first-in-first-out instructions are described. In one aspect, a method includes receiving data representing code of a program to be executed by a processing unit comprising hardware processors. For each of one or more of the hardware processors, an order of independent groups of first-in-first-out (FIFO) instructions for execution by the hardware processor is identified in the data representing the code of the program. For each independent group of FIFO instructions for execution by the hardware processor, a path length metric that represents how long it will take to reach an end of the program from the independent group of FIFO instructions is determined. A new order of the independent groups of FIFO instructions for execution by the hardware processor is generated based at least on the path length metric for each independent group of FIFO instructions for execution by the hardware processor.
