  • Publication number: 20190295633
Abstract: A CDMR memory cell, includes a first bitcell which is used to store a current data level and a second bitcell which is used to store the complementary data level. When a read operation is performed, a comparator compares the data levels read from the two bitcells. If these two levels are not complementary, the comparator outputs an indicator. This indicator serves as an alert that a storage error has, or may have, occurred.

  • Publication number: 20190294711
Abstract: In various examples, there is provided methods performed by nodes in a cluster of nodes for performing transactions comprising one or more read operations and/or one or more write operations. The node comprises a local clock which is synchronized with a master clock and maintains a measure of uncertainty indicating current minimum and maximum values of the master clock. The method to perform transactions involving read operations generates a read timestamp representing a point in time which is earlier than a current minimum value of the master clock. The method then reads the objects and determines, for each of them, whether a timestamp associated with that object is later than the read timestamp. If so, an error handling procedure is performed for that object.

  • Publication number: 20190295550
Abstract: Predicting and learning users' intended actions on an electronic device based on free-form speech input. Users' actions can be monitored to develop a list of carrier phrases having one or more actions that correspond to the carrier phrases. A user can speak a command into a device to initiate an action. The spoken command can be parsed and compared to a list of carrier phrases. If the spoken command matches one of the known carrier phrases, the corresponding action(s) can be presented to the user for selection. If the spoken command does not match one of the known carrier phrases, search results (e.g., Internet search results) corresponding to the spoken command can be presented to the user. The actions of the user in response to the presented action(s) and/or the search results can be monitored to update the list of carrier phrases.

  • Publication number: 20190297443
Abstract: Higher Order Ambisonics represents three-dimensional sound independent of a specific loudspeaker set-up. However, transmission of an HOA representation results in a very high bit rate. Therefore, compression with a fixed number of channels is used, in which directional and ambient signal components are processed differently. The ambient HOA component is represented by a minimum number of HOA coefficient sequences. The remaining channels contain either directional signals or additional coefficient sequences of the ambient HOA component, depending on what will result in optimum perceptual quality. This processing can change on a frame-by-frame basis.

  • Publication number: 20190297733
Abstract: A printer deposits material onto a substrate as part of a manufacturing process for an electronic product. At least one mechanical component experiences mechanical error, which is mitigated using transducers that equalize position of a transported thing, e.g., to provide an “ideal” conveyance path; a substrate conveyance system and/or a printhead conveyance system can each use transducers in this manner to improve precise droplet placement. In one embodiment, errors are measured in advance, with corrections being “played back” during production runs to mitigate repeatable transport path error. In a still more detailed embodiment, the transducers can be predicated on voice coils, which cooperate with a floatation table and floating, mechanical pivot assembly to provide frictionless, but mechanically-supported error correction.
