  • Patent number: 10390849
Abstract: This patent document discloses assemblies and methods for removing obstructive material from a body vessel or other cavity. An assembly can include an elongate inner member, an elongate outer member, an aspirator, one or more valves, or a waste collection reservoir. Each of the elongate members can extend from a proximal end portion to a distal end portion and can include a lumen therethrough. The elongate inner member can be partially disposed in the lumen of the elongate outer member and can be moveable along its longitudinal axis relative to the elongate outer member. The aspirator can be in flow communication with the proximal end portion of the elongate inner member for drawing the obstructive material into or through its lumen. The one or more valves can be configured and positioned to allow obstructive material removed from the body vessel or cavity to be urged toward the waste collection reservoir.

  • Patent number: 10394544
Abstract: Aspects of the present invention provide an approach for performing a computer program update on a target computer. In an embodiment, a target computer having a location, a user, a computer program, and a computer program update is determined. An expected install duration for installing the computer program update is determined. A social media service associated with the user is monitored. A user location is detected from the social media service and an update time window is estimated based on the user location and the distance that the user is away from the target computer location. A decision is made whether to install the computer program update based on the update time window and the expected install duration.

  • Patent number: 10394212
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for the parallel and independent operation of a normal program and a secure program on the basis of a runtime system structure have all components that are relevant to the control integrated on a hardware component with a specific hardware architecture and be isolated from one another by a runtime system structure for two dual runtime systems for making changes to non-security-relevant components without restriction. The isolation can be provided by prioritizing one of the runtime systems. Such a runtime system structure or hardware architecture eliminates the need for follow-up certification of user-programmable controllers and the certification of the security-critical component is valid even when changes to the non-security-relevant components are made.

  • Patent number: 10396075
Abstract: After forming a plurality of semiconductor fins that are separated from one another by trenches on a substrate, the semiconductor fins are fully or partially oxidized to provide semiconductor oxide portions. The volume expansion caused by the oxidation of the semiconductor fins reduces widths of the trenches, thereby providing narrowed trenches for formation of epitaxial semiconductor fins using aspect ratio trapping techniques.

  • Patent number: 10393889
Abstract: A device and method for reading an exposed imaging plate generate read-out light and utilize a deflection unit to direct the read-out light in a scanning movement over the imaging plate. The deflection unit has a micromirror to deflect impinging read-out light towards the imaging plate. The micromirror can swivel about a first swivel axis and about a second swivel axis distinct from the first. A detector unit detects fluorescent light emitted from the imaging plate at locations where the read-out light impinges. An evaluating unit evaluates signals received from the detector unit and builds up an image that is stored in the imaging plate. The evaluating unit takes into account, when evaluating the signals received from the detector unit, that points on the imaging plate are subjected to the read-out light variably often and/or for variable time lengths while the micromirror oscillates about the first and the second swivel axis.

  • Patent number: 10394832
Abstract: Methods and apparatus related to using document feature(s) of a document that is responsive to a query, and optionally query feature(s) of the query, to determine a presentation characteristic for presenting a search result that corresponds to the document. In some implementations, measures associated with the document feature(s) and/or query feature(s) may be used to determine the presentation characteristic. The measures may be based on past interactions, by corresponding users, with other documents that share one or more of the document features with the document, where a plurality of the other documents are different from the document (and optionally each different from one another). In some implementations, the document and/or the other documents include, or are restricted to, documents that are access restricted.
