  • Publication number: 20160274781
Abstract: Various systems and methods are provided that display various geographic maps and depth graphs in an interactive user interface in substantially real-time in response to input from a user in order to determine information related to measured data points, depth levels, and geological layers and provide the determined information to the user in the interactive user interface. For example, a computing device may be configured to retrieve data from one or more databases and generate one or more interactive user interfaces. The one or more interactive user interfaces may display the retrieved data in a geographic map, a heat map, a cross-plot graph, or one or more depth graphs. The user interface may be interactive in that a user may manipulate any of the graphs to identify trends or current or future issues.

  • Publication number: 20160275872
Abstract: A voltage-programmed display system allows measurement of effects on pixels in a panel that includes both active pixels and reference pixels coupled to a supply line and a programming line. The reference pixels are controlled so that they are not subject to substantial changes due to aging and operating conditions over time. A readout circuit is coupled to the active pixels and the reference pixels for reading at least one of current, voltage or charge from the pixels when they are supplied with known input signals. The readout circuit is subject to changes due to aging and operating conditions over time, but the readout values from the reference pixels are used to adjust the readout values from the active pixels to compensate for the unwanted effects.

  • Publication number: 20160270696
Abstract: Methods are disclosed for assessing the condition of a cartilage in a joint and assessing cartilage loss, particularly in a human knee. The methods include converting an image such as an MRI to a three dimensional map of the cartilage. The cartilage map can be correlated to a movement pattern of the joint to assess the effect of movement on cartilage wear. Changes in the thickness of cartilage over time can be determined so that therapies can be provided. The amount of cartilage tissue that has been lost, for example as a result of arthritis, can be estimated.

  • Publication number: 20160275122
Abstract: Systems and methods for creating and using a workflow template for analyzing data entities stored in the one or more databases. After a desired workflow is identified, one or more series, data source, and/or entity restrictions based upon the workflow may be received. In addition, one or more chart configuration settings based upon the workflow may also be received. The restrictions and configuration settings may be saved as the workflow template. The workflow may then be performed by loading the saved workflow template, in order to automatically generate charts in accordance with the configuration settings of the template, based upon a received selection of series, data sources, and entities that adheres to the restrictions defined in the template.

  • Publication number: 20160277819
Abstract: An electronic device including a frame member suitable for use with an audio driver is disclosed. The frame member may include a recessed region that receives the audio driver. The frame member may further include a flange member surrounding the recessed region. The frame member may be formed from a material having a relatively high coefficient of thermal conductivity. Accordingly, the frame member can dissipate thermal energy (heat) generated from the audio driver. In addition, the frame member may be seated in an enclosure of an electronic device in a manner that allows the frame member to pass the thermal energy to the enclosure. Also, the frame member may include a ferromagnetic material, which may cause the frame member to direct magnetic flux from a magnet of the audio driver in a desired manner.

  • Publication number: 20160270702
Abstract: A concentration correction system includes an infrared detector and components that produce an aggregate emission of infrared radiation. A mirror assembly includes a mirror and is changeable between a correcting configuration and a measuring configuration. In the correcting configuration, the mirror produces a mirror signal incident on the detector. The mirror assembly also obstructs external body infrared radiation from reaching the detector. In the measuring configuration, the mirror assembly allows the external body infrared radiation onto the detector. A concentration correction method includes receiving external body infrared radiation and simultaneously receiving a first portion of the aggregate emission. A measurement value indicative of concentration is recorded from the detector. A second portion of the aggregate emission reflected with the mirror and produces a mirror signal incident on the detector.

  • Publication number: 20160277145
Abstract: The invention relates to method and apparatus for improving the performance of communication systems using Run Length Limited (RLL) messages such as the existing Automatic Identification System (AIS). A binary data sequence is Forward Error Correction (FEC) coded and then the sequence is compensated, for example by bit-erasure, so that either bit-stuffing is not required, or a bit stuffer will not be activated to ensure that the coded sequence meets the RLL requirement. Various embodiments are described to handle different architectures or input points for the FEC encoder and bit erasure module. The bit erasure module may also add dummy bits to ensure a RLL compliant CRC or to selectively add bits to a reserve buffer to compensate for later bit stuffing in a header. Additional RLL training sequences may also be added to assist in, receiver acquisition.

  • Publication number: 20160275454
Abstract: Techniques for simplifying the process of entering data into forms such as employment forms. A new hire can be examined to determine the employment forms that the new hire needs to complete before beginning employment. The employment forms can be examined to determine the new hire data is to be collected from the new hire. Based on the examination, one or more mobile panels are identified. Each mobile panel includes one or more fields configured to collect personal information from the new hire. The mobile panels are presented to the new hire who in turn enters their personal information into the mobile forms. The new hire data entered into the mobile forms can then be used to populate the employment forms. Once the employment forms are populated, they can be transmitted to the new hire for review. In some instances, the new hire can electronically sign the employment forms.

  • Publication number: 20160274609
Abstract: A method of classifying consumption of at least one utility by a plurality of consumers acquires, or determines, a plurality of utility consumption metrics. Each utility consumption metric has a value which is indicative of an aspect of consumption by one of the plurality of consumers over a single time period or across multiple time periods within a larger time frame. The method sorts the plurality of utility consumption metrics according to metric value. The method forms clusters of the sorted utility consumption metrics to identify boundaries between the clusters of the sorted utility consumption metrics. The boundaries between the clusters of the sorted utility consumption metrics define different classes of utility consumption by the consumers and divide the consumption metrics of the consumers into the different classes.
