Abstract: A method for automated container terminal scheduling is disclosed. The method comprises reorganizing a container terminal when resources are available and determining a container carrier plan for each container to be loaded from the container terminal. The method further comprises determining from the container carrier plan a mover schedule for a mover to move a first container to be loaded from the container terminal to a container carrier crane which loads the first container to the container carrier and determining from the mover schedule an individual stack crane schedule which loads the mover with the first container to be loaded from the container terminal.
