  • Publication number: 20230210674
Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling an orthopedic joint device of a lower extremity, the orthopedic device comprising an upper part, a lower part mounted in articulated fashion to the upper part, and a conversion device arranged between the upper and lower parts. The conversion device provides for, during pivoting of the upper part relative to the lower part, mechanical work from a relative movement between the upper and lower parts to be converted and stored in at least one energy store and supplied back to the joint device with a time offset in order to assist the relative movement. The stored energy is converted back and the supply of mechanical work takes place in a controlled manner during the assistance of the relative movement.

  • Publication number: 20200352744
Abstract: A system made up of multiple orthopedic components which are coupled to one another, having a first electronic and/or electric device which has a first supply terminal via which the first electric and/or electronic device can be supplied with energy and/or data from a charging station via a plug. At least a second electric and/or electronic device is provided on one of the components which has a separate, second supply terminal and/or a plug connection which can be coupled to the first electronic and/or electric device for transmitting energy and/or data via the first supply terminal or a separate plug connection.

  • Publication number: 20200315817
Abstract: A device for fixing two orthopedic components to one another includes a receiving element arranged on a first orthopedic component, which receiving element has a receptacle and includes a connecting element arranged on a second orthopedic component. The connecting element has a connector. The connector can be inserted into the receptacle and is coupled with the receiving element in a tensile force, compressive force, and torque-transmitting manner. At least one flow- and/or data-transmitting contact is arranged on the connecting element and the receiving element so as to correspond to one another, which form an electrical and/or data-transmitting connection with one another in a fixed state of the orthopedic components.

  • Publication number: 20200306061
Abstract: A method for distributing a limited amount of electrical power from an energy source to a plurality of electrical loads includes sensing and/or encoding the available electrical power of the energy source, monitoring a power balance of the loads by sensing and/or encoding the drawn power in the individual loads, and reducing the drawn power in the loads if the available power is not sufficient for supplying all the loads with the required power.

  • Publication number: 20170135608
Abstract: A method for determining the alignment of a system, wherein the system includes measuring and display devices. The measuring device has a measuring platform and detects horizontal and vertical forces that are exerted by a person located on the measuring platform. The system also includes at least one camera device used to at least partially photograph the person located on the measuring platform. The method includes transmitting image data from the at least one camera device and measurement data from the measuring device to the display device, superimposing a force application line in the display device on the image data, and displaying the force application line on the image of the person located on the measuring platform.
