  • Patent number: 7357739
Abstract: Lacrosse-stick heads are described. In one embodiment, a lacrosse-stick head includes a throat, a transverse wall, and two sidewalls extending outward from the throat and connected by the transverse wall. The throat includes two side surfaces. At least one of the sidewalls and an adjacent side surface of the throat are sized, shaped, and positioned for stably rolling a lacrosse ball throughout at least a portion of the length of the at least one of the sidewalls and onto the adjacent side surface. The portion includes more than one half of the length of the at least one of the sidewalls.

  • Publication number: 20030092019
Abstract: This invention relates to methods and compositions for diagnosing and treating neuropsychiatric disorders, such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar affective disorder, unipolar affective disorder and adolescent conduct disorder. In particular, the invention provides novel variants of CADPKL nucleic acid sequences, as well as novel CADPKL polypeptides encoded by these variant sequences. The variant CADPKL nucleic acid sequences provided by this invention, as well as the variant polypeptides they encode are ones that statistically correlate with the presence of a neuropsychiatric disorder in individuals. The invention therefore also provides methods and compositions for using these variant nucleic acids and polypeptides to diagnose and treat such neuropsychiatric disorders.

  • Publication number: 20030054345
Abstract: This invention relates to methods and compositions for diagnosing and treating neuropsychiatric disorders, such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar affective disorder, unipolar affective disorder and adolescent conduct disorder. In particular, the invention provides novel variants of DISC1 and DISC2 nucleic acid sequences, as well as novel DISC1 polypeptides encoded by these variant nucleic acid sequences. The variant DISC1 and DISC2 nucleic acid sequences provided by this invention, and the variant gene products they encode, are ones that correlate with the presence of a neuropsychiatric disorder in individuals. The invention, therefore, also provides methods and compositions for using the variant nucleic acids and polypeptides to diagnose and treat such neuropsychiatric disorders in individuals.
