  • Patent number: 11301972
Abstract: A method for adjusting color saturation can determine a saturation adjustment from metadata that specifies an adjustment of color saturation based on a first display and from precomputed data, such as data in one or more look-up tables, that specifies a relationship between image data in a first color space and image data in a second color space. An input image in the first color space is converted into an image in the second color space, and the color saturation is adjusted while the image data is in the second color space, which can be a geometrically non-symmetrical color space.

Date of Patent: April 12, 2022
    Assignee: Dolby Laboratories Licensing Corporation
Inventors: Alexander Partin, Kimball Darr Thurston, III, Robin Atkins

  • Patent number: 10713765
Abstract: Color trim data is used in an approximation function to approximate one or more non-linear transformations of image data in an image processing pipeline. The color trim data is derived in one embodiment through a back projection on a colorist system, and the color trim data is used at the time of rendering an image on a display management system.

  • Patent number: 6093309
Abstract: Self-heating characteristics of a spontaneously combustible catalyst are reduced by treating spontaneously combustible catalysts with oxygen-containing hydrocarbons having at least 12 carbon atoms. The treatment is particularly suitable for reducing the self-heating characteristics of sulfidable metal oxide(s)-containing catalysts, presulfurized catalysts, presulfided catalysts or reduced catalysts. When applied to sulfur-containing catalysts, the treatment gives a catalyst that has suppressed self-heating properties without substantially compromising sulfur retention or activity. Further hydrocracking catalysts treated by the oxygen-containing hydrocarbons give improved product yield. Further, a method of safely unloading a catalyst from a reactor is provided where the catalyst in the reactor is treated with a liquid mixture containing oxygen-containing hydrocarbon having at least 12 carbon atoms to wet the catalyst.

Date of Patent: July 25, 2000
