  • Patent number: 9328985
Abstract: A single shot firearm includes a barrel and a receiver assembled together and being rotatable relative to one another between a safety position, in which a firing assembly is prevented from moving forward far enough to allow a firing pin to strike a cartridge, and a firing position, in which a notch on the barrel allows the firing assembly to the move forward far enough to strike and discharge the cartridge. The firearm includes indicia on the barrel and receiver which indicate whether the firearm is in a safety position or a firing position, depending on their relative rotational positions. The firearm further includes a trigger guide which facilitates firearm discharge by a single smooth motion of the user's finger.

  • Patent number: 6702145
Abstract: A splash-proof lid for a drinking cup has a splash guard in the form of a semi-permeable membrane positioned between the liquid contents of the cup and a discharge opening of the lid. The splash guard inhibits the liquid from splashing out of the discharge opening, while permitting the liquid to flow therethrough to the discharge opening.

  • Publication number: 20020044974
Abstract: A process for producing granular calcium carbonate for use as dietary supplements and/or antacids, which easily reconstitutes, upon mixing with a liquid or liquid-containing food prior to ingestion, into an ultra-fine calcium carbonate powder having improved non-gritty “mouthfeel”. The process involves aggregating an ultra-fine calcium carbonate powder, having an average particle size of no more than 25 microns, into granular calcium carbonate particles. Methods for administering 100% of the adult RDA for calcium in a single dose, and for treating upper gastrointestinal tract disorders, using the granular calcium carbonate produced by the process of the present invention are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4655763
Abstract: A sterile testing and dispensing apparatus is adapted for insertion into a sterile aseptically packaged container to permit the contents of the container to be tested and then dispensed. The apparatus includes a dispensing tube and a pH indicator removably received in the dispensing tube. When inserting the dispensing tube into the container through an appropriate hole or weakened area therein, the pH indicator is automatically exposed to the contents of the container. The pH indicator can then be withdrawn from the dispensing tube and visually examined to determine the presence or absence or spoilage.
