  • Publication number: 20180089972
Abstract: A system and a method for surveilling a scene including an allowed region and a restricted region are disclosed. In an embodiment, the system includes a visual sensor configured to capture a visual image of a scene, a thermal sensor configured to capture a thermal image of the scene and a distance measuring sensor configured to capture a distance image of the scene, the scene comprising an allowed region and a restricted region. The system further includes a processor configured to generate a combined image based on the visual image, the thermal image and the distance image, wherein an object in the scene is displayed as a representation in a visual image when in the allowed region and displayed as a representation in a thermal image when in the restricted region.

  • Patent number: 7567792
Abstract: A method for controlling a power supply of a mobile data memory (MDS). The mobile data memory is operable to communicate via wireless data transfer using an antenna (A). The mobile data memory has at least one energy accumulator (BAT), a data demodulator (EMP), a data processing unit (C) and an electronic memory (MEM). The method includes switching to a standby mode from a full operation mode, the standby mode having a lower energy supply than the full operation mode but permitting receipt of the signal. When the mobile data memory receives a signal (ES), the received signal is evaluated to detect at least one backscatter frequency and an associated communication frequency (f1, f2).

  • Patent number: 7205931
Abstract: A method for determining the distance between a base station (SLG) and a mobile object (DT1–DT3). A HF carrier frequency and an offset frequency (df) are predetermined for a QAM modulation. The HF carrier frequency is increased and decreased by the offset frequency in sequence over time in such a way that the HF carrier base frequencies (fo+df, fo?df) resulting in an HF carrier signal (TS) thus modulated exhibit an identical phase when the frequency is changed. The HF carrier signal is subsequently transmitted and simultaneously mixed (MIX) with an HF carrier signal (RS) that has been backscattered by the mobile object to obtain a carrier phase signal (PS). The corresponding carrier phase (PH1, PH2) for the two HF carrier base frequencies is determined in sequence over time. The difference (dPH) between these phases is used to calculate the distance between the base station and the respective mobile object.

  • Publication number: 20060063488
Abstract: Disclosed is an information transmission system comprising a transmitter (1) which capacitively and asymmetrically couples an electric near field into an electrical conductor element (6). Said conductor element (6) is made of an essentially homogeneous medium and is provided with an impedance (CB) to the ground, which is used as a return conductor during the transmission of information. A receiver (4) capacitively decouples the electric field and demodulates the transmitted information. The inventive information transmission system can be used in a tire pressure measuring system of a motor vehicle, for example, the conductor element being part of the body of the motor vehicle.
