Patent number: 11922926Abstract: A system may include processor(s), and memory in communication with the processor(s) and storing instructions configured to cause the system to correct ASR errors. The system may receive a transcription comprising transcribed word(s) and may determine whether the transcribed word(s) exceed associated predefined confidence level(s). Responsive to determining a transcribed word does not exceed a predefined confidence level, the system may generate a predicted word. The system may calculate a distance between numerical representations of the transcribed word and the predicted word and may determine whether the distance exceeds a predefined threshold. Responsive to determining the distance exceeds the predefined threshold, the system may determine whether at least one red flag word of a list of red flag words corresponds to a context of the transcription, and, responsive to making that determination, may classify the transcription as associated with a first category.Type: GrantFiled: September 14, 2021Date of Patent: March 5, 2024Assignee: CAPITAL ONE SERVICES, LLCInventors: Aysu Ezen Can, Feng Qiu, Guadalupe Bonilla, Meredith Leigh Critzer, Michael Mossoba, Alexander Lin, Tyler Maiman, Mia Rodriguez, Vahid Khanagha, Joshua Edwards

Patent number: 11892661Abstract: A doubly curved reflector for compact storage in a folded state includes a plurality of gores, each gore having on either long side a gore side curve. At least one hinge is mechanically coupled between each adjacent gore, the at least one hinge including a fold roll hinge or a living hinge. In a stowed doubly curved reflector state each gore folds about the at least one hinge when folded closed such that a face surface of each gore folds against an adjacent face surface of another gore into a substantially cylindrical structure. In a deployed doubly curved reflector state, each hinge. A doubly curved reflector for compact storage in a folded state and a locked open state, a method of manufacture, and a method for designing a substantially wrinkle free doubly curved foldable reflector having gores of a composite material are also described.Type: GrantFiled: February 24, 2021Date of Patent: February 6, 2024Assignee: Opterus Research and Development, Inc.Inventors: Thomas W. Patent number: 11667948Abstract: One aspect of the present disclosure can include a method for reducing or alleviating inflammation in the digestive tract of a subject in need thereof that consumes a disruptive dietary component. One step of the method can include assaying a previously obtained fecal sample from the subject for the presence of one or more Proteobacteria and an activity level of a peroxidase enzyme. The subject can decrease ingestion of the disruptive dietary component if the assayed presence of the one or more Proteobacteria and the activity level of the peroxidase enzyme are increased as compared to control levels.Type: GrantFiled: February 14, 2019Date of Patent: June 6, 2023Assignee: CASE WESTERN RESERVE UNIVERSITYInventors: Alexander Rodriguez-Palacios, Fabio Cominelli

Publication number: 20230108078Abstract: The recent pandemic has resulted in a desire to avoid human-to-human contact where possible. Purchasing items from a brick-and-mortar store traditionally involves close human interaction and touching items that have been touched by others. Now, to reduce human-to-human interaction, a bank of compartments is described into which items are placed by staff members for later collection by customers. After agreeing a purchase, a staff member places the purchased item in a compartment. The customer uses a smartphone to announce their arrival at the bank of compartments and provide authentication, at which point the compartment with the item is identified to the customer. The compartment automatically unlocks and opens allowing the customer to obtain the item without touching the compartment or its door. Deposits of purchased items are made via the bank for exchange, repair or refund. Each compartment may sanitize itself and its contents with UV-C light.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 8, 2022Publication date: April 6, 2023Inventors: NOLAN RICHARD WHEELER, JOSHUA DIEGO ALEXANDER RODRIGUEZ

Patent number: 6384578Abstract: The minimum transmit battery voltage (Vtx min) of a radio operating in a TDMA mode of operation or the stand-by battery voltage (Vstd-by) of the radio operating in a GSM mode of operation can be determined as a function of the combination of an in-slot transmit battery voltage (Vin-slot), an out-of-slot transmit battery voltage (Vout-slot), a stand-by compensation factor (&Dgr;sb), and a compensation factor (K). The stand-by compensation factor (&Dgr;sb) is related to a difference between the out-of-slot transmit battery voltage (Vout-slot) and a stand-by battery voltage (Vstd-by). The compensation factor (K) has a first value for the TDMA mode of operation and a second value for the GSM mode of operation. Each value of compensation factor (K) is related to the manner in which the radio utilizes battery power during transmission in the TDMA or GSM modes of operation.Type: GrantFiled: February 12, 2001Date of Patent: May 7, 2002Assignee: Motorola, Inc.Inventors: Joseph Patino, Alexander Rodriguez, Charles Cole, William F.
