Abstract: A method for extracorporeal blood purification and dialysate disposal includes the steps of: passing a patient's blood through a dialyzer through a first line, passing dialysate through the dialyzer through a second line so that the dialysate exits the dialyzer as used dialysate, and collecting the used dialysate in a container. The container can include an inlet and an outlet connector, the inlet being fluidly connected to the dialyzer to receive the used dialysate, and the outlet connector being fluidly connected to a sewer line of a sewage system in a sealed manner to discharge the used dialysate directly into the sewage system.

Abstract: A disposal container for used dialysate including a flexible bag in or at which an inlet connection is formed or arranged which is prepared for connecting the bag to a dialysis machine of the mobile type such that the disposal container is movable or displaceable along with the dialysis machine, wherein the disposal container includes an outlet connection or connector provided separately from the inlet connection, the connector being prepared for connecting the bag to a sewer line in a way sealed against the connector environment; and an extracorporeal blood purification system comprising a stationary system area and a non-stationary system area, the system including a bag according to the invention.

Abstract: Blood treatment/dialysis systems are disclosed. The systems include a water treatment unit, preferably of the reverse osmosis type, whose outlet has connected thereto a water supply line provided with a number of branch connections having fluidly coupled thereto blood treatment/dialysis machines in a selective manner, and a drain line through which exhausted blood treatment fluid can be discharged from fluidly coupled blood treatment/dialysis machines. Also disclosed is a machine-external heat exchanger, which is connected to the water supply line upstream of the branch connections on one side and to the drain line on the other side.
