Abstract: The present invention extends to methods, systems, devices, and computer program products that advantageously provide for indexing composite keys (i.e., keys for space-filling curve) of multidimensional data storages into the form of an affixation tree or trie. More specifically, example embodiments provide for the organization or indexing of records of multidimensional data into instances (or partitions) of a “cascade” data structure augmented by a key affixation—i.e., a predetermined series or string of bits or bytes that appear before, after, and/or within a designated bit stream or composite key.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method for searching a database includes receiving, by a processor from a user, a message, indicating a query, where the query comprises a pattern and determining, by the processor, a first threshold in accordance with a data set of the database. The method also includes comparing, by the processor, the pattern to a first key of the data set to produce a comparison and determining, by the processor, whether to jump to a second key of the data set or scan to a third key of the data set in accordance to the comparison and the first threshold including jumping to the second key of the data set when an absolute value of the comparison is greater than the first threshold, and scanning to the third key of the data set when the absolute value of the comparison is less than or equal to the first threshold, where the first key and the third key are sequential.

Abstract: A framework is provided that enables data mining algorithms to be plugged into it without any change to algorithm software implementations, while still providing all the standard data mining tasks. It may be implemented by the data source provider. It also then allows for the complete separation of data storage and algorithms. When the user initiates a mining session and picks an algorithm for build task or a model for an apply or test task, the framework may become responsible for preparing a set of “prompts” to the user asking him to provide some expression which is specific to the particular kind of data the user is working with.
