Publication number: 20240135908Abstract: A method for automating audio mashup production is disclosed. First, two or more audio files are received. Based on two or more audio files, two or more stem audio files and reference metadata associated with the two or more audio files are retrieved from a server. Each of the two or more stem audio files includes at least one of an instrument portion or a vocal portion that are included in the two or more audio files. After retrieval of the two or more stem audio files and the reference metadata, at least some musical parameters associated with segments of the two or more stem audio files are adjusted. Thereafter, the two or more stem audio files or adjusted segments of the two or more stem audio files can be combined into a single audio file. The single audio file is output to a user device.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 19, 2023Publication date: April 25, 2024Inventors: Troy Alexander Skinner, William Jagedal Moran

Patent number: 6960401Abstract: A purge system for fuel cell stack includes a purge valve to regulate exhaust from the fuel cell stack in response control signals from a controller in response to a voltage across a purge cell portion of a fuel cell stack. The purge valve is opened when the voltage across the purge cell portion falls below a defined percentage of a threshold voltage. The threshold voltage can be equal to an average cell voltage of some or all of the fuel cells of the fuel cell stack. The purge may include one or more successive openings of the purge valve of controlled purge durations.Type: GrantFiled: July 25, 2001Date of Patent: November 1, 2005Assignee: Ballard Power Systems Inc.Inventors: Russell Howard Barton, Tan Duc Uong, Charles Joseph Schembri, George Alexander Skinner

Patent number: 6861167Abstract: A fuel cell system includes fuel cells forming a fuel cell stack, having a fuel passage and an oxidant passage. A purge valve is coupled to the fuel passage to exhaust contaminants, and a controller is coupled to temporarily increase the oxidant stream flow rate through the oxidant passage, and to temporarily open the fuel purge valve, if a voltage across a pair of fuel cells is less than a defined threshold voltage. In this resuscitation step, the oxidant flow rate can be temporarily increased by increasing a duty cycle of an air compressor by approximately 50% for a duration of between approximately 5 to 10 seconds. The controller can further shut down fuel cell operation if a voltage across a pair of fuel cells is less than a defined threshold voltage in an inter-resuscitation period immediately following the resuscitation step.Type: GrantFiled: July 25, 2001Date of Patent: March 1, 2005Assignee: Ballard Power Systems Inc.Inventors: Brian Wells, Tan Duc Uong, Charles Joseph Schembri, Gregory A. James, George Alexander Skinner, Benno Giesecke

Patent number: 4132089Abstract: In order to drive a unit mounted on a carrier rotatable about an axis, the drive for the unit is transmitted from a unit actuator to the unit-drive mechanism on the carrier by a shaft-driven member so arranged that its rotation relative to the carrier is unaffected by rotation of the carrier itself. In one alternative this is achieved by transmitting the output of the unit actuator through a flexible shaft which enters the carrier tangentially and is guided in the fixed structure for its adjacent end to project in a direction normal to the axis of rotation of the carrier, and in an alternative arrangement rotation transmitted to the carrier actuator is superimposed, by means of a differential gear drive arrangement, one gear of which is geared to the output shaft of the carrier drive actuator, upon the rotation of the pinion transmitting, to a ring gear coaxially rotatable about the carrier, the movement of the unit drive servomotor output shaft.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 1976Date of Patent: January 2, 1979Assignee: Plessey Handel und Investments AGInventors: Alexander Skinner, Ronald G.
