  • Publication number: 20240086568
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure are directed to protecting non-public data used in computer-based trials. Reports can be generated based on the computer-based trials that contain performance metrics or other data points to evaluate the computer-based trials. The reports can be viewed by data providers and/or trial providers without divulging the non-public data. Data providers can provide the non-public data for running the computer-based trials. Trial providers can run the computer-based trials. A cloud provider can provide infrastructure for storing source code for the computer-based trials, the non-public data, and reports generated from the computer-based trials. The cloud provider can also provide infrastructure for executing the computer-based trials and generating the reports from the computer-based trials.

  • Publication number: 20160303749
Abstract: An electric hair cutting apparatus having a motor for rotating a shaft, which rotates an eccentric about the axis of the shaft, but not about the central axis of the eccentric. A cylindrical bearing is positioned around the eccentric. A drive tip is provided with a follower end which is shaped and positioned to engage with the bearing surrounding the eccentric. As the eccentric rotates, the bearing alternately pushes on left and right arms of the follower end of the drive tip, causing the drive tip to oscillate back and forth about a pivot point. The angle of the bearing with respect to the eccentric allows for generally continuous contact between the arms of the follower end of the drive tip with the bearing, even throughout the pivoting of the drive tip.

  • Publication number: 20160183716
Abstract: A mixed beverage maker having an ice-shaving unit combined with a mixing unit. The mixed beverage maker further includes a concentrate container holder in fluid communication with a reservoir. The ice-shaving unit, mixing unit, concentrate container holder and reservoir are operable connect to a controller, which can be programmed to selective control the operational cycles of each of the units, a pumping cycle, a ice shaving cycle, and a mixing cycle. The controller includes at least one preprogrammed routine to control the operational parameters of the pumping cycle, an ice shaving cycle, and a mixing cycle to make the mixed drink.

  • Publication number: 20070119968
Abstract: The present invention provides an ophthalmic fluid delivery device adapted to deliver an ophthalmic fluid in the form of a mist to an ocular region of a patient. The ophthalmic fluid delivery device comprises a nozzle defining an aperture through which the ophthalmic fluid can flow and at least one shutter positioned proximate to the aperture of the nozzle. The shutter is mounted for movement with respect to the aperture of the nozzle between an open position permitting flow of the ophthalmic fluid through the aperture of the nozzle and a closed position at least partially covering the aperture. A shutter actuator is positioned proximate to the shutter. The shutter actuator is mounted for movement with respect to the nozzle, and the shutter actuator is coupled to the shutter such that the movement of the shutter actuator moves the shutter between the open position and the closed position.
