  • Publication number: 20240036016
Abstract: The invention relates to simplifying calibration of gas sensors, including gas sensors which are portable and for home use, consumer use or medical use including breath gas sensors, where the calibration against samples of a measured gas having a concentration above the null value, is only performed once to establish a set of calibration ratios of measured known gas concentration readings over null sample readings. Thereafter, in use, the ratio of unknown gas concentration in a test sample to a null value (preferably ambient air) is determined without recalibration, and that ratio is compared with the set of calibration ratios to determine the unknown gas concentration by interpolation or extrapolation.

  • Patent number: 10338624
Abstract: A system for reporting energy use in a home having an energy consuming device includes an energy sensor device in communication with the energy consuming device and configured to collect energy use data indicative of an energy consumption event. The collected energy use data includes real time data associated with the collected energy use data, including a start time and an end time. An application running on a local computing device receives the collected energy use data. A remote computing device is in electronic communication with the application so as to receive the collected energy use data from the application. Specific programming causes the remote computing device to consider energy use data, real time data, and associated weather data to derive a baseline energy use profile, a proposed reduction in energy usage, tracks savings and makes recommendations, said derivations being displayed by the software application on a local computing device.

  • Patent number: 6583629
Abstract: A signal transmission system (10) for providing electrical energization to a load electrically connected to a system output (38) based on input signals provided to a system input (11,12). The system (10) has a condition determiner for determining the occurrence or absence of a selected condition. A pulser to provide the system output and the system input connected to an oscillator. The condition determiner is coupled to at least a selected one of the oscillator and the pulser to cause the pulser to provide electrical energization pulses at the system output based on the system input (11,12).

  • Patent number: 5972266
Abstract: The resistant to biological degradation of composite wood products is improved by applying a suitable aqueous dispersion of zinc borate onto the fibers to uniformly distribute and to adhere the zinc borate to the strands of the wood composite, applying a suitable adhesive to the wood strands, forming a strand lay-up and consolidating a lay-up under heat and pressure to form a consolidated product with zinc borate uniformly distributed therethrough.
