The light assembly includes a plurality of lights, such as LEDS, a controller for connection to a power source and which controls the lights, and a wireless transceiver for communication with the remote control device. Additionally, the remote control device is configured to detect the light assembly, to transmit a pairing signal to the light assembly, which prompts the light assembly to generate a non-numerical code, and to pair the light assembly with the remote control device in response to input from a user at the remote control device prompted by the non-numerical code.
