  • Publication number: 20240379009
Abstract: This disclosure describes a pickup location determination system that determines a pickup location for a received transportation request by filtering out door points based on various factors and by utilizing a pickup location model to select a pickup location from the filtered door points. For example, the disclosed systems generate door points relative to intersection points within a request radius of a request location associated with a received transportation request. The disclosed systems generate potential pickup locations by filtering out door points that are impractical and/or inefficient based on proximity to other door points, locations relative to venues, locations relative to side streets, and/or locations between parallel road segments (e.g., medians). The disclosed systems further utilize a pickup location model to select a pickup location from the potential pickup locations.

  • Publication number: 20240367204
Abstract: A system includes a laser drive assembly and a computer system. The laser drive assembly includes a laser that emits a laser beam to clean an end of a tube, a first motor that changes an angle of the laser beam with respect to the end of the tube, a second motor that moves the laser laterally, and a third motor that rotates the laser drive assembly around the end of the tube. The computer system is configured to clean the end of the tube by operating the laser to emit the laser beam, adjusting the angle of the laser beam with respect to the end of the tube by operating the first motor, adjusting the distance between the laser and the end of the tube by operating the second motor, and rotating the laser drive assembly around the end of the tube by operating the third motor.

  • Publication number: 20240299072
Abstract: A chuck for a powered surgical impactor can include a first body insertable into the powered surgical impactor and defining a first bit bore, a second body adapted to receive the first body; and a third body receivable at least partially within the second body and defining a second bit bore. The third body can define a lock projection extending radially inward into the second bit bore; and the third body and the second body can be adapted to rotate relative to the first body to move the lock projection between an unlocked position, in which the lock projection is located to allow insertion of a surgical instrument into the chuck, and an unlocked position, in which the lock projection is located to prevent removal of the surgical instrument from the chuck.

  • Patent number: 11205458
Abstract: A system and method for collaboratively creating an automatically assembled movie is presented herein. The system and method includes identifying a predefined movie script, wherein the predefined movie script defines or includes a plurality of character roles, and for each of the plurality of character roles, includes at least one clip request. Users of the system and method are invited to join a movie making group, and once joined, are assigned to one of the character roles. For each of the character roles, the system and method will receive a raw or pre-processed media clip recorded by the user's device and which corresponds with the clip request. The pre-processed media clips are then automatically processed by the system and method according to script rules by applying filters or visual effects. The processed media files are the automatically combined according to script rules to create the final movie.

  • Publication number: 20190046056
Abstract: In one implementation, a device detects multiple vital signs from sensors such as a digital infrared sensor, a photoplethysmogram (PPG) sensor and at least one micro dynamic light scattering (mDLS) sensor, and thereafter in some implementations the vital signs are transmitted to, and stored by, an electronic medical record system.
