  • Patent number: 12233925
Abstract: A method for configuring control software in a rail vehicle. The control software, which is designed for a multitude of rail vehicles, implements basic functions that are required for the basic operation of the rail vehicles. The control software additionally implements optional functions required to execute client-specific requests. The specifications, combinations and functional sequences of the basic functions and optional functions are tested, validated, and approved before the functions are implemented in the rail vehicles, whereupon the basic functions and optional functions are made available in the rail vehicles. In a selected rail vehicle, at least one optional function is activated or deactivated using a switching parameter that is individually allocated to the optional function. The switching parameter required therefor is established outside the rail vehicle and is then transmitted to the selected rail vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20250012564
Abstract: In a method for optically measuring technical surfaces using a confocal sensor, light is directed onto a sample surface to be measured via an optical system that contains an illumination mask, a sensor matrix, a beam splitter for combining illumination beam and detection beam paths, and imaging optics. The mask has transparent and non-transparent or slightly transparent regions arranged in a checkerboard pattern. The pitch of the mask pattern corresponds to the pixel pitch of the matrix. The mask and the matrix are adjusted relative to each other such that the transparent regions and the pixels of the matrix are simultaneously sharply imaged onto the sample by the imaging optics, whereby the sharp image of the mask is then sharply imaged onto the matrix so that a checkerboard pattern of light and dark illuminated pixels is produced on the matrix. The transparent regions of the mask are round.

  • Patent number: 12189825
Abstract: A method identifies and verifies control software of a rail vehicle. In the method, the control software is formed by functions, with each function fulfilling an associated task. As a networked collective, the functions form the structure of the control program. A function-dependent checksum is generated for each function. A structure-dependent checksum is generated for the structure. A total checksum is generated for the control software from the function-dependent checksums and the structure-dependent checksum. The total checksum identifies and verifies the control software for homologation in a country.

  • Publication number: 20230107738
Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to a fluid dispensing device that includes a dispensing bristle for selectively dispensing fluid onto an application surface. In an illustrative example, the fluid dispensing device may include a tapered cylindrical valve for flow control. For example, upon applying a predetermined pressure, the tapered cylindrical valve may be opened, allowing the fluid dispensing device to dispense a small amount of fluid (e.g., medicine, soap, shampoo, coconut oil, plant extract combinations) onto an application surface. Various embodiments may advantageously allow a user to dispense a selective amount of the medicine to the scalp.
